    I never think of the Guerlain classics as smelling dated. They‘re so avant-garde to me because perfumes (and people) just don’t smell like this any more. I didn’t get L‘Heure Bleue for the longest time but I love it now.

    L'Heure Bleue is such a beautiful, soothing, melancholy perfume. I love wearing it to bed. Neither my husband nor I have any associations to it, other than I vaguely remember smelling it in an antique shop when I was younger. It was pulling me to it then, I remember almost buying it. To me, it's a perfume that's outside of space and time. It's the past, the present, and the future all at once. That's why it's comforting. It reminds me of the saying, "All is well". It doesn't always feel well, but in the end, after everything is said and done, it is. Your haircut is a fun change, it brings out your cheekbones. Thank you for another wonderful review, it feels like a visit with a friend. Be well!

    Thank you so much!! 🥰 And thank you for sharing your feelings about it. Beautifully said! It definitely brings that feeling of “all is well”. I have it in my work bag right now, I’ll spray some of it shortly just so I can get some of that “all is well” feeling. Thank you!! 🥰

    L’huere Blu was the first Guerlain perfume I fell in love with. There is an iconic picture of a very famous staircase in Montmartre that is taken as night falls. The cobblestones are wet with rain, street lights lit and it is tinted blue. From that picture I began my search for the meaning of the “blue hour” thus discovering L’HUERE Blu. I have the EDP in a beautiful blue bee bottle. I’ve giving a decant of this and Jicky to my daughter who loves them too.

Even If I loved it at the first moment, it took me time to become mine and I realize today that it was ♡ Thank you for expressing this feeling for this masterpiece so delicate, mysterious, deep and relaxing to me... it gives me idea to discover others Guerlain :)

    Thank you for the beautiful review. I have the EDT version and it is beautiful without being too sweet. It transports me to a different era like my other Guerlain classics. Whenever I wear this I think of the beautiful evening sky and Van Gogh's Starry Night painting and others like it. I prefer vintage or old classics, as I find modern ones too sweet for my taste.

    Hello! Thank you! It’s a pleasure sharing my experience with them. 🥰 There are differences between them for sure but I’ll have to apply them side by side and make a comparison video to be more specific. But from the top of my head what I can say is what I know when it comes to the guerlain extraits; It’s a concentrated version of the EDP/EDT, grander, deeper, smoother.

    Hi there! :D Considering everything you mentioned, I’d go with the EDT. The EDP can be too much indeed. The EDT has all the great attributes of the EDP but it is indeed lighter and easier to wear. Much less risky to suffocate/overwhelm you. Please do report back with your choice! And I’d love to hear your thoughts about it once you get it! 😄

    @@sebastianfurtado3740 Am a fan of all that you've mentioned above as well! What're your thoughts on Beige and 1957? I'll have to revisit N18. I remember it was very light on my skin when I sprayed it at the boutique, so I wrote it off which may have been a mistake! I'm looking for one for the summer months which will perform well in the heat. I quite liked Sycomore but found it a bit too dry, and I don't think it would be pleasant wearing on very hot days. N 22 was too strong on the aldehydes, almost astringent to my nose and very harsh, reminds me of a hospital. The opening of Coromandel was nice but I didn't vibe with the dry down of Coromandel either, am not a fan of patchouli. And I don't particularly enjoy the makeup-lipsticky vibe in general

  • @sebastianfurtado3740

    @sebastianfurtado3740

    N°18 would probably work in the summer. It’s light but strong enough at the same time and it’s quite unique. I don’t know anything yet that smells like it. I’m not too familiar with 1957, only tested it briefly at a store once and beige is beautiful! I love it but not enough yet to get a FB though. The other ones I find remind me of other perfumes from Chanel and they don’t do much for me but I still think they’re quite beautiful. I should revised all the ones I don’t have again though… maybe I’ll fall in love with one of them.
