@Salaisha Azzahra The vestibular system begins to develop in the womb so babies can tell which way is up and which way is down if there is no complications, and the position doesn't even resemble the fetal position , neihter position nor rotation looks like how it was in the womb so there must be another evolutionary reason behind this

I had twins, and learned in the hospital how to wrap them up with a blanket. Their arms folded in, and they absolutely loved it, not once did I have problems with them not sleeping, or fussing, or crying. They feel very safe and protected as if they are still in the womb. What this doctor is doing is similar but without the blanket. But the baby will likely start crying again if you put it down, but with a blanket the baby won't cry, and will go to sleep when it's time. Babies must learn to "self-soothe" themselves, they simply can't do it at such a young age. But eventually they will learn, all the while feeling secure and safe. Snug as a bug in a rug...lol

This is a really interesting video! It's amazing to see how quickly some of these babies calm down when they are being held in certain positions and given some gentle support. While it's certainly not always possible to calm a crying baby in just five seconds, it's great to see some techniques that can be helpful in soothing a fussy baby. It's also important to remember that every baby is different, and what works for one may not work for another. Thank you for sharing

To all who are wondering why this works so well. To me it seems like firstly this guy does not really "force and hold" the babies in a certain position, but he simply supports them. Just like some people cant have a cat on their arms, because they grip too tight and really hold on to the cat instead of making the cat basically able to lie on their arms. Secondly this position kind of mimics the position the babies had in the womb. Their arms are kind of crossed in there, they also float not upright but in an angle and finally the gentle rocking and swirling probably resembles the mother moving, walking etc. edit: To this day I enjoy lying in a fetus position, it makes me feel specially safe and I am 28 yo. Also note how the "hold" from this doctor lets gravity basically do the work of "holding" the baby. Again just like with cats (except for cats that just simply hate being picked up or touched).
