Hey Justin, good video. You could have had Gavin add a Reaction Brewing Co label to the tanks instead of the Sungood tag. That's what I did. I also had to work around Chinese New Year. I ordered in December and got mine delivered the last week of May. I used Gavin's normal broker, JAS, who is based out of Colorado and it was easy but I also had a full container. My ship sailed from China through the Panama Canal to NYC to Norfolk and finally to Savannah. Then from Savannah by train to Atlanta where a truck hauled the container to me. I think I paid the old 2.6% tariff plus a shipping fee plus insurance plus broker fees. I agree about Gavin. He answers email quickly and is responsive before and after the sale. I just sent him an email last week and got a reply within hours and that was October (keep in mind I have had this brewery since May). My advice to anyone ordering from someone like Gavin: Order a LOT of extra valves, tees, elbows, manifolds, tri-clamps, gaskets, etc His equipment comes with everything including a few extras. But it is so much less expensive buying extra parts from him. Also, he is a pretty honest guy from my experience. He saw a photo of the brewery on our website or the FB page and noticed that they had made an error. He contacted me and asked for close-up photos and then confirmed the error. He sent the parts by express courier to correct the mistake. Like you, I sourced my controls, my two 1/5HP pumps from a US supplier. The 1HP cart pump came from CPE in Canada. My container was completely full and I don't know what it weighed. But it was thousands of pounds. A single fermenter weighs 650-700lbs. My 5bbl brewery would have been $150k from a US manufacturer.

That's awesome man! I didn't want to have my tags welded to the tanks in case I go to sell, same with my panel, I didn't get my logo etched in for when I sell. I need to get some time to have some tags made up, I should've just ordered extra tags from Gavin. I agree with ordering extras, the stuff is really cheap and a lot nicer than your normal eBay parts, special the clamps themselves. They're really heavy duty. Thanks for the reply, I bet that 5 BBL is a beautiful set up!!

@@ReactionBrewingCompany Yeah, I guess I'll have to deal with that when the time comes. They look like they are just tacked on.

@@limulus61 yours are obviously for a commercial brewery, mine are just in my basement haha. So who knows how long I'll keep them. Looking back j do wish I would've had him just make me some extra plates to double side tape over his. Would've definitely been a nice touch!

Hi Justin, this is a great video and I really appreciate you putting it together. I’m currently in talks with Gavin about getting basically this same setup. Would you do anything different with the brewery system and did you consider ordering the control panel from Gavin? Thanks again. Joe

I would definitely add clamp down lids to every kettle with a port for cleaning in the lid. I'd also add a sample tap to the boil kettle for gravity readings and probably locking casters as well. I didn't ask him about the panel. Electric brew supply makes an awesome panel right here in Michigan so when I found out he'd make my panel I went with him. The price is reasonable and he did an awesome job. Good luck! It's an awesome system.
