Thank you so much for reporting on this topic. I'm in greater Vancouver so it should be easier for me to do.

Did the car arrive in Vancouver or in the east? I thought about Livingston but it was going to be close to $1,500. Decided to fly to Vancouver using Flair for $100 and make a trip out of it. Cross my fingers it starts and is drivable.

Hey bro what was the process like to import? Did u use a 3rd party importer to import the car?

Would you share the process of importing the car? I assumed that you do the legwork yourself. From my research, BeForward makes the process easier but no so sure what to do when the car arrives in Canada

Hey I’m driving my import home but don’t understand how I can get a day permit if I don’t have the registration until after my car is dropped off to me. I don’t wanna leave it in a parking lot uninsured and unattended while I go get a day permit, what did you do?

I actually registered the car temporarily in Saskatchewan. Provided them the Bill of Sale before I even had physical access to the car. That way, I was able to drive it no problem once I got to Vancouver.

For Saskatchewan, I have found the insurance cost to be roughly the same as LHD equivalents.

Hey guys. Please, help where I need to start to important one to Canada? Which websites you're using to purchase one in Japan? I calculated, that average % on fees and taxes will be about 20% from a selling price. Is it pretty much accurate? Thanks

Hey there! I imported my Lexus using B-Pro. The selling price was around $4,500. Everything cleared to Vancouver was a hair under $10K. Hope that gives you an idea of what to expect. I would suggest contacting a Canadian JDM importer. B-Pro was normally the go-to. However, I had a sub-optimal experience with communication for this order. I would suggest trying JDM Connection. Either way, both importers will be able to answer all your questions. I am in the process of making a how-to guide on the entire process start-to-finish. Subscribe so you don't miss it!

@@allincludedworldsbestscena376 Unfortunately, the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Act doesn't allow cars to be imported from anywhere except the US and Mexico. The act also forbids modifying such vehicle to meet the standard. If I ever run for PM, that law would be abolished immediately.
