Import image sequence into Adobe Premiere as a clip | Premiere Pro Tutorial
Ғылым және технология
How to import an image sequence and convert it to a videoclip in Adobe Premiere? If you have a sequence of images (jpg, png, etc.) of an animation, maybe it's hand-drawn or 3D rendered frame by frame, you can import the image sequence to video with Premiere and convert it to a videoclip you can edit in your sequences.
All you need is to have the images in order with a sequence number each and then use this tutorial to learn how to convert the image sequence to a video clip.

If you are struggling with your files (maybe they are not in order or you need to rename them all to import them as a sequence Premiere), maybe you need to try this other multi-rename tool: • Powerful batch FILE MU...

@@theaquaking4020 It's likely you have some images missing from the sequence... if Premiere finds one missing number, it will stop, thinking the sequence has finished. You can use the free Total Commander to rename all your images correctly with a sequence number at the end, as shown here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/h4yGu9yTobuyfbg.html

You can Interpret the Footage (right click on the sequence in the bin). This will allow you to set the framerate to match your project. If that doesn't do it, you can apply Speed/Duration to it to stretch or compress the time it runs, but if you don't have enough images in the sequence, stretching it too far will lead to stuttering. Thanks for watching!

Hey, where do you find the image sequences in order to make them into a clip? Thank u for ur answer
@Graphicious
Жыл бұрын
I make them myself, it depends what you need to create - it may be a sequence of images rendered from a 3D program for example.
Hello, I like to start a video on top of an “specific” frame of the image sequence but I don`t know how because the sequence looks like a video, I don`t have the info of each individual image on that clip, I hope you understand my question!
@Graphicious
4 жыл бұрын
If I understand your question, then I think you want to import the images into a sequence, then place that sequence on the timeline of another sequence in Premiere (just like a regular clip), and then move your play head to where the desired frame is. You can use the single frame advance buttons to get to the exact one you need, and place your other video at that exact point, on a different track in your sequence.

Hi there, I'm thinking of rendering my animation frames from Blender, and completing the final video on Adobe premeier. Before putting all the frames onto Adobe Premier, do you recommend exporting the frames as"Open EXR" or "TIFF" format (in Blender)?
@Graphicious
Жыл бұрын
It depends on what you want to do, really but I would say use OpenEXR. It's 16-bit half float, it has better compression and I think it also helps stay away from banding. Best thing to do is to try a few frames and compare.

If you are exporting a video from Adobe, or other program into stills, make sure the end of the file name that you give is _001 . You need the underscore _ in the filename.

Did you right click on the sequence and selected "Interpret footage"? That is the way to make it the correct framerate.
Can you make a sequence if the numbers are the double numbers only? 2 4 6 8 etc?

I don't see how Premiere can find them all, you would have to move all files to be in the same folder. Use a search tool, cut, paste.
Sounds great, except I cannot check the "sequence" box. I'm trying to import .DPXs, and I am unable to import the sequence as a usable clip.
@Graphicious
3 жыл бұрын
Usually, the reason you can't click the sequence checkbox is because there's a file number missing somewhere. The files need to be numbered in order so that Premiere can detect they are part of a sequence.

Hey, sorry I forgot to mention that in my video. To change the framerate, you go to the video in the Media bin, right-click on it, choose "Modify" and then "Interpret footage". This will allow you to specify the desired framerate for that particular clip, using the "Assume this framerate" section.

I was trying to make a video by making a sequence of high quality photos of real people but after the export the photos quality looked terrible, do you know how to make a video of sequel photos without losing their original quality?
@Graphicious
2 жыл бұрын
It comes down to your sequence settings. You can export as HD or 4K, for better quality. Usually photos from your camera will be much larger, so I don't think you can actually export a video that keeps 'original quality'. You didn't specify where your photos came from and what their size was.
@Jo24689

@@Graphicious I got the photos online they are jpg, the size are around 200kb, I tried the h.264 format with 4k quality in the export setting and it worked. Thanks!
Hi, my proyect have one thousand pics (gopro secuense) but in some parts the footage (pictures) move more quickly, how can i fix that all pictures go the same time ? for exemplo 1 seconds every picture.
@Graphicious
Жыл бұрын
You could import the sequence of images as shown in this video, then you can right-click on the imported sequence and "Interpret Footage". That will allow you to change the framerate. Then, you can go to the portions that move too fast and use clip speed on them to speed up or slow them down, according to your needs. I hope this makes sense.

I am following the instructions, but it continues to import as a still image instead of an animation. Do you have any advice? I am using Premier Pro 2021

Is it possible you have missing frames? That's usually a cause of the problem, if the numbers are not in perfect sequence that Premiere can identify.
@sarahkenney7542
3 жыл бұрын
@@Graphicious Doesn't look like it, but I ended up finding a workaround! edit>preferences>1frame for imports. Then New folder> import images (all) > order by name ascending > ctrl+a > drag and drop to timeline They come in as separate images instead of footage, which is a pain, but I just needed a quick video of a render series, so it worked for my purposes
They box to click the image sequence is grayed out, how can I fix this?
@Graphicious
2 жыл бұрын
Click the first image in the sequence first. If the box doesn’t activate, it means Premiere doesn’t detect the images in sequence - maybe you have missing numbers or it is not numbered in a way it understands. Try renaming all files to have clear numbers at the end, with padding zeroes.
For a 10 seconds video. How many images do i need to shoot. Is there any formula?
@Graphicious
3 жыл бұрын
It depends on your project's framerate. For example, if your final framerate were 30fps, then for 10 seconds you'd need 300 frames. For 25fps, you'd need 250. You can interpret the footage if you need to adjust it but this is the basic formula.
