Excited to see war with the Samnites! going down Martial advancements to Cohorts early & making a heavy infantry army would make you very very strong against the balkan states around you

Maybe go for the Taulantians let the Romans go to war in Italy with Messapia and the others. That way you gain control of Illyria maybe even a part of messapia. Thanks for the great content I’m loving it so far!!

this may be too late but if you declare war on Samnium this drags in Messapia automatically on Samniums side, so you could go and fight Messapia first, take them out (and take their provinces) and then take on Samnium and take the claim there. This way you can knock out Messapia without having to declare on them as well and thus without having your ally fight on their side and you can take parts of Samnium as well all within one war

Absolutely! Just been off for the holidays and then sick with a nasty virus.

What bothers me about this game is the political influence. Too low = do nothing. And it’s much to hard to get the PI built up to do anything. So you sit there for 30 years losing opportunities trading swine 😮. Only played about 50 hours but that is what I see in year. 280

I'm playing it, and enjoying it. Good single player games never die, I guess.
