I came to like the flushing effect, kind of warm and tingly. Also, there came a point, very soon after taking niacin regularly, where I did not experience the flushing effect. I am sure that if I went back on to the niacin routine, 500 mg a day, that it would only be a few days when the flushing effect did not happen. I have fallen off the wagon, should get back on.

Usually I take 150 mg of niacine for 2-3 days, then some days without it. It helps to keep hot splashes.

I started Enduracin and titrated up to 1250mg for 7 weeks. I'm doing self monitoring and my AST and ALT were both elevated, but LP(a) dropped from 278 nmol/L to 199. It was encouraging, but I stopped due to the elevated liver enzymes. 4 Weeks later my LP(a) shot up to 411 - much higher than before. Could this be some sort of rebound effect? Hoping it goes at least back down to where it was.
