IMP3 is a game changer in the Amiga community♥️👍

This is really amazing on every level, I can't wait to have some time to set this up on my A1200, Thanks for the great intro video and interview, this is a gem for the Amiga Community. 🍻Cheers to all Amiga users in 2023

An amazing software/hardware for 2023 amiga users!!

I use Imp daily on both my Vampire V4 SA and my A1200/PiStorm32/RPI4.. Its a MUST have piece of software.

This is definitely the most used amiga program here now, and gives life to my main amiga that had too little on-time the last few years before i found IMP3! Thanks for another great video and to Juen of course.

Same here. IMP3 is the first thing I run after I start my Amigas. And then... I often forget it is running, just enjoy the music in the background :)

Big up for both of you guys! Great idea to make this movie in English. Hope to see more international imp users soon! and big thanks to Juen for this great peace of amiga software!!! Its really another level of amiga experience.

Seems like very versatile software and modules.

Because of IMP3 and Impbox, my A500+ has seen more action in the past month than in the previous year alone. Kudos to Juen and everybody involved!

I have recently (within the last year or so) gotten back into using my Amigas, I think the idea of IMP3 is very cool. That they can do all that with so little overhead on the machine itself is hella impressive. I am a little worried about serverside support...but Given that they have a patreon model it should be around for a good long time. I can't wait to try it out. I have a aca 500+ and an xsurf500 on it. Once I get it working properly (long story) I will definitely give IMP3 a look. I can't wait! Thanks for doing this video!!!

Ha! Actually the first setup I run IMP3 on was exactly as yours (ACA500+ with X-Surf 500). I still use it and love it. The only reason I didn't use it in the video was that I have that setup at a different location now... good luck with making it run and let us know if you need support. Also, I would not worry about the server support. Juen's work on that has been solid for the past several years.

Hi there, great video of yours! I stumbled upon it because I was looking for video news about imp3. I have been using imp3 for around a year and it really is a great tool. I am using it on a quite extended A500 with a 50 Mhz 68030 + FPU and with a PlipBox (which is kind of slow). Nonetheless it is fast enough to really enjoy the chat and the online module streaming. Haven't tried the simulators, and games, but after seeing your video I think I will try that too. But I fear the PlipBox will be too slow to enjoy this... I think that imp3 is really a great tool to get a more modern use case / feeling of usage of our old machines. The feeling using it is not like for example using a BBS but much more modern because it's 'life'. Imp3 is really a great way to spend an evening chatting while hearing the music we all like. :) You can even share the title you are hearing to your actual chat. I relay enjoy it!

Using IMP3 in an office environment is not recommended. Causes tremendous productivity drop.

@@ForgottenComputer hehe. I’ll take the chance. I have two A1200s: one has a slightly distorted picture thanks to dodgy caps, the others has distorted sound, probably due to more dodgy caps. So it looks like I’ll be doing some recapping! Got to love the A1200; best computer ever built in my not so humble opinion. :) PS. Space Song is absolutely the best mod. Check it out.

I really like this little piece of software. It reminds me a little for such developments on C64 and ATARI 800. But these must use a hardware cartridge anyway. Is there a place where I can buy/order the little hardware WLAN dongle?

I finally found how to try it with WinUAE, but when i try to play a mod, i have no sound (i can ear sound when IMP is not launched)

Woow. I wish my CD32 with tf330 had a parallel port. Wonder if there is a way around that. :)

Are you using Kipper2K's adaptor to attach the TF330? If you could hunt down a SX32 instead, you can use your TF330 with the SX32's backing plate thing, which has Parallel and a Floppy Drive port as well as Serial.

EBay has a bunch of 16 bit Wi-Fi cards. It seems they haven’t quite achieved rocking horse poo status; expensive for what they are but far from extortionate.

@@lawrencemanning true, I think I payed around 100 euros for this one, had to switch off all my router security and a bit later it shit the bed. I think I'll try a modern alternative next :)

@@warci yup. WEP only etc. Back in the day I’d PPP to a Linux box. Annoyingly you can’t even get 115k2 out of the Amiga’s serial port but it does work. Maybe there are some 10 meg wired PCMCIA cards with drivers?
