Or most artist are more mature to start fighting for stupid shit. There are some artists that doesn’t appreciate other copying their song or even the background sound. Some hide other go crazy. I just to be fair and credit the original version. That’s fair. Both version are amazing in their own way.

@@eriklrdp when she covered the song she removed a verse and added an original one she wrote, which was about her and mac. and then after she sent sweetener to him he talked about how it was his favorite song on the album, so yes it is technically about mac in this situation.

@@mynameisntderek nah man. ariana may have thought of mac when writing the verses but mac's fave song off sweetener was r.e.m, that's why she got that tattooed. and there's video of mac playing it in the background of his ig live in the car before the album even came out even though they were broken up which ariana saw after his passing and that made it a more special song for her. it hit her hard.

Ariana's version was a gift for Mac Miller. This was his favorite song. So I doubt she would think anything of the like. She removed the song from her set list during the sweetener world tour because she couldn't handle it and kept crying every stage.

actually, there are two versions of GnG - Ari took that part from the single version, check the ending out (Ari did add other parts tho, I think her take is pretty good too)

This song was Mac Miller's favorite song. Ariana wrote her own verse for the song that was about Mac Miller specifically, hence why, when she went on the SWT tour, she took the song out of the set list after a couple of performances. She got too emotional singing this song and now she won't sing it anymore.

Ariana Grande obviously loves and respects Imogen Heap to cover her songs. And it's cool that Imogen Heap is cool with Ariana covering HER songs. But let's not forget that these songs are in fact Imogen Heap originals... So, how about we see that these two artists are in complete different genres and that we cannot compare them. Don't be ignorant. It's like trying to compare Eminem to Keith Urban. Doesn't make any sense.

Let's be real and honest. Immi owns the original song. But she didn't pull it off and gave justice to the song. The song is supposed to be magical and cute like stars at night and glittery skies. Ari did more than that. Plus Ari gave a massive tune and greatness on the notes. Ariana's version is way more superior. Don't get me wrong.

I don't follow your comment. Imogen Heap did the original. Ariana Granda covered it a few years later. In this live version, Imogen Heap tipped her hat to Ariana Grande's cover by mixing some of that cover into the original.
