As someone who grew up in Detroit back in the 60's and 70's - there will be MANY more jobs lost to A.I. than A.I. creates, especially for those who don't have a tech background.

The printing press did not have the ability to reason, reply, act on requests, generate images, music, complete books based on a prompt, and the list could go on.

This guy is obviously an AI and they are already trying to trick us.

He lost all credibility the second he said it would create jobs.

You’re not accounting for the jobs that have been gained because of AI. Also, as companies become more efficient, our productivity will go up, which will reduce the costs of all goods. This is Annette for the entire economy and everyone in it. Yes, some people will be misplaced, but only to be real allocated where their skills could be utilized more productively

One cashier running 8-12 registers. Do you think that demand for cashiers has gone up or down as a result? That’s the future of most white collar jobs. What do you expect to happen at your company when one person can do the work that your entire team performs today? Are they going to need more people or fewer? If you’re that one person left, facing 5x the competition for your role, how will that affect your salary?

The general trend is that AI will not create more jobs than it eliminates since its objective is to increase productivity by eliminating jobs.

It'll take jobs away from humans and create jobs for artificial bots .. Just look at all the layouts already at google

WALL-E was spot on. We're going to be super lard-o's traveling around on wheelchairs. Or worse, Terminator compost.

The problem is these companies are collecting our data to create AI and we are not getting incentivized. UBI needs to happen.

They didn't mention how employees can now fire their companies. Why work for x company when you can use ai and what you know to provide the same exact service, maybe at a higher level than the company who may let you go? That's a trend that is possible with ai. Its a whole new world.

I have never had any use for chip technology. I could see where all this was going. I dont believe any of it serves humanity for the better. The internet was supposed to be fun and free. Its neither. This tech is different. The current industry is selling the idea that high value Tech related occupations will service AI and robotics. However, in a few short years AI integrated into humaniod robots will eventually be able to build, program, service maintenance, and repair older and newer AI, machinery & robots. Basically, specialized to accommodate themselves.

Technology not only increases unemployment but also pushes people into laziness. However, movement is beneficial for body health, especially walking long distances every day is very important.
