Yea but how much Money you think Spotify can make off 1,000 Streams? its like when youtube paid per View. The average shelf life for any artist that makes it past the first year ( lets call it the xxl year) is about 3-4 years( Thugnificant level) . After that the chances of an artist staying relevant signifcantly drop. Its hard for any artisit to make it past that hump and go into their own where now they have reached a level beyond that. Simply put becoming a rapper isnt even a good way to try and leave the hood and feed your family anymore. You are going to end up in a worst place than when you started. When you dont own any of the songs you wrote and wonder where all the money went. Also if anyone can get the reference bonus points lol
