Subhanallah, I used to be one of the ignorants that used to think that salafis where extremist ignorant Muslims. The more I learned about Islam the more that image changed. The biggest impact for me was by sheikh Uthman ibn Farooq. I had heard of Imam AL Albani before but don't know much about him. I see a long path of education I need to take. Alhamdulillah for Allahs guidance. For anyone who wants Allah's guidence, my humble advice is change your intentions to only please Allah. Question your intentions, even I used to foolishly believe I had pure intentions to please Allah but it was just to please me and my ego.

And I was exactly like Faraj, very confused. And with this discussion my confusion is completely cleared. I hope after all these years our brother Faraj is doing well. And of course, may Almighty Allah grant Shaykh Nasir Uddin Al Albani one of the finest places in Paradise. Ameen.

The way shiek addressed Faraj is just amazing He called him my brother, usthad etc.. and he showed atmost respect to this opponent in the debate. This manners are just rare to find when you watch debate with other intellectuals. May Allah bless us with good manners.

This is not a debate. The brother was asking a question. It’s not like a debate that is scheduled and the two opposing sides try and destroy one another. The man asked a question and the sheikh try’d to guide Him with the right answer. The title shouldn’t be “debate”

@@roii98 Unity is upon truth and not upon falsehood. And truth is in obeying Allah and His messenger upon the understanding of the salafussaliheen, and no other alternate understanding. This is the methodology we must instill in ourselves. One who does that is a 'salafi'. Would you reject the correctness of this methodology just to ensure you 'don't carry a lable'?. Reflect, dear brother.

That's what Salafi means. When we're conversing with Christians, do we say we are those who submit ourselves to Allaah or do we say we are Muslims? You want to describe yourself with the meaning of the word, instead of the word itself. You're opinion is absurd with all due respect.

Masyaallah. Shaykh’s adab addressing questions to him is grandly polite, magnificient and legendary. Nary any malice. All I can feel is the earnest intent to fill the questioner with knowledge, pouring it in without resistance. The debater crumbles in the face of wisdom, not from Shaykh but from Allah SWT’s Al-Quran and his messenger SAW. This is what happens when there is a debate amongst lovers - lovers of knowledge and religion.

Albani got his wittiness from Abu Hanifa(Ra) he still has some traces of Hanafiyya in him. Even though I don't agree with Albani on everything, he sounds very kind, and may Allah bless his afterlife for trying.

18:29 dear Sheikh says that the Sahaba clarifies the Quran and Sunnah for us, however how do we deal with the numerous hadeeth regarding the Prophet (saaws) at the kawthar and some of those he recognised as Sahabi will be denied to drink for what they changed in the religion (Bukhari 7049, 7050, 7051). How do we reconcile this and take care we don't take the wrong knowledge from a Sahaba? Genuine question.

Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah ; then He will inform them about what they used to do. 6:159 !!!!!

Giving names is not equal to creating sects. PERIOD! If giving names was same as creating sects then you are indirectly accusing the Sahaba and the Salaf of creating sects and fitna. Just ask your Shaykh why did Ibn Abbas, Imam Ahmad and all the others used names other than Muslims such as Ahlus Sunnah, Ahlul Hadith, Sunni, Salafi, etc. If you can find me the answer and have the guts to utter that these people were creating sects then I will stop using the name Salafiyyun. Until then be silent, be humble and look for the answer. May Allah guide us all. Ameen.

Surah Al-Ahzab 33:21.In the Messenger of God you had a good example for those who were begging God and the last day and mentioning God /It was you in the messenger of Allah Asuka good for anyone whose hope is God and the other Allah much. .لَقَدۡ كَانَ لَكُمۡ فِىۡ رَسُوۡلِ اللّٰهِ اُسۡوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِّمَنۡ كَانَ يَرۡجُوا اللّٰهَ وَالۡيَوۡمَ الۡاٰخِرَ وَذَكَرَ اللّٰهَ كَثِيۡرًا ؕ‏ - .Surah Al-Furqan 25:59.He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days, and then seized the Throne /Who created the heavens and the Earth and what is between them in six days, then mounted he the throne Rahman still by an expert. .اۨلَّذِىۡ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا فِىۡ سِتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسۡتَوٰى عَلَى الۡعَرۡشِ ​ۛۚ اَلرَّحۡمٰنُ فَسۡـئَـلۡ بِهٖ خَبِيۡرًا - .Surah An-Nahl 16:43.And there was no man before you but men whom we were inspired by, so ask them: do the people of remembrance, because you knew that you did not know /And all we ever sent before you were men we inspired, so they asked the males if you didn't know. .وَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلِكَ اِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوۡحِىۡۤ اِلَيۡهِمۡ​ فَسۡـئَلُوۡۤا اَهۡلَ الذِّكۡرِ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَۙ - .Surah Al-Haj 22:78.And strive in God the right of his efforts He brought you to you, and he did not make it upon you in the religion from the point of view of the religion of your father the Muslims named you from before and in this so that the messenger would bear witness to you and be witnesses to all of them so observe the prayers, pay the zakat, and insist with Allah that He is your master the prophet and the blessing of the prophet /And strive for God's right to fight for your freedom, and what has made you in debt, your father Abreham, is ...Before you name your Muslims, the Prophet will be a martyr to you and you will be a martyr to the people. ​Say your prayers, give your prayers, and pray to God Sire and yes, I do. .وَجَاهِدُوۡا فِى اللّٰهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهٖ​ؕ هُوَ اجۡتَبٰٮكُمۡ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فِى الدِّيۡنِ مِنۡ حَرَجٍ​ؕ مِلَّةَ اَبِيۡكُمۡ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ​ؕ هُوَ سَمّٰٮكُمُ الۡمُسۡلِمِيۡنَ ۙ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ وَفِىۡ هٰذَا لِيَكُوۡنَ الرَّسُوۡلُ شَهِيۡدًا عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَتَكُوۡنُوۡا شُهَدَآءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ​ ​ۖۚ فَاَقِيۡمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ وَاعۡتَصِمُوۡا بِاللّٰهِؕ هُوَ مَوۡلٰٮكُمۡ​ۚ فَنِعۡمَ الۡمَوۡلٰى وَنِعۡمَ النَّصِيۡرُ‏ - .Surah An-Nisa 4:115.And from whom the Messenger pays a hard time for me, as soon as the guidance has been revealed to him, and he has not followed other paths the believers, we entrust him with what he has assumed, and we pray to him as hell /And those who oppose the messenger after guidance has been shown and follow no path.The faithful took what he had taken, and it went wrong. .وَمَنۡ يُّشَاقِقِ الرَّسُوۡلَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَـهُ الۡهُدٰى وَ يَـتَّبِعۡ غَيۡرَ سَبِيۡلِ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ نُوَلِّهٖ مَا تَوَلّٰى وَنُصۡلِهٖ جَهَـنَّمَ​ ؕ وَسَآءَتۡ مَصِيۡرًا -

Why does he say ‘Allah guide you and not Allah guide us? Does that mean he is guided and the man is misguided? From the translation there is a lot of omitted text and expressions. There is a lot of praise but they’re are people laughing and mocking the man too.

Sheikh Al Albani was a Salafi Sunni Alhamdulilah

If this speaker recited Quran instead of lectures,will there be any audience to listen and benefit? No. Why? Scholar is supposed to be gifted the real Love of Quran by Allah. Some sahabas entered into Islam because of listening to Quran. Today people don't need too much information. Their hearts need healing. People who have big ego and arrogance are deprived of the Noor of Quran

Al-Hajj 22:78 وَجَٰهِدُوا۟ فِى ٱللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِۦۚ هُوَ ٱجْتَبَىٰكُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍۚ مِّلَّةَ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَٰهِيمَۚ هُوَ سَمَّىٰكُمُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ مِن قَبْلُ وَفِى هَٰذَا لِيَكُونَ ٱلرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا۟ شُهَدَآءَ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِۚ فَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱعْتَصِمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ هُوَ مَوْلَىٰكُمْۖ فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ ٱلنَّصِيرُ English - Sahih International And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. [It is] the religion of your father, Abraham. Allah named you "Muslims" before [in former scriptures] and in this [revelation] that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and give zakah and hold fast to Allah . He is your protector; and excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper.

13:14, did dear Sheikh refer to surah 16:43 as a justification for asking Sahaba and Salaf? Because the verse is directing the Quraish to ask the Ahlul Kitab about how all messengers of Allah jallawaala were also just mortals like Muhammad (saaws), not angels (Tafsir ibn Kathir). Allahualim.

What's the difference between ahlus sunnah wal jamaah and salafi? If they both follow the sahabas (companions)

"in the end he accepted the manhaj" & "opposer to salafis" this is the division i'm talking about, man just wanted unity, he was already a good muslim upon the understanding of the salaf, because he was lectured & understood easily, it's not like he was another religion or sect & converted to the right deen, becareful with the words you choose God guide you...

They leave their knowliges in the books of hadith like in sahih bokhari and moslim ... And the scholers of hadith they othanticit the ahadith of the salaf ( sahaba and tabian an tabiai atabiain ) from tem the 4 imams abu hanifa ànd malik shafiai and ahmad .

The brother could have ended the disscussion easliy by asking the sheikh did Allah send the prophets or the salafs for us to follow? The prophets all of them did not etikett themselfes with group names so who are we to etikett ourselfs with group name. In fact the sahaba was not salafs also. The ahl al bayt was not salafs And they are closer to us to follow than the salafs and they did not etikett themselfs. I understand that the salafs think we are normal people that can not reach the sahabas or all the prophets station. But atleast do what they did and NOT ETIKETT YOUR SELF WITH A NEW NAME THAT NEVER EVER WERE ORDERD TO US FROM THE PROPHET Mohamad Alayhi asalat wa Salam. Simple and plain. The old and real salafs are good people we love them and follow with them pur beloved prophet but to end any kind of disscussion you need to think the way Allah wants you to think.

Im a Muslim following quran and sunna and thé way of the salafi but im not a salafi because Allah call us MUSLIM and not salafi or whatever. OG store saying you follow the Qur'an sunnah and the way of the salaf is sufficient for you to be a salafi. They are one and the same thing. It's like someone saying he submits to one God and believes Muhammad SAW is the final messenger but also says he's not Muslim when in reality they are the same thing.

The rejection of madhabs is the most dangerous innovation to the sharia.

I do not understand why call yourself "Salafi or khalafi" when Allah SWT call you Islam when Allah SWT repeated so many times and called you muslim why do you call yourself other names? May the Almighty Allah SWT guide us to the right path Amen.

you should listen to the discussion again, Prophet a'lihi salat wa salam said 73 group all in hellfire except one... other group also says "we are muslims, we are sunnis" but those group go hellfire anyway so we have to separate from them by following QUran and Sounnah with how companions understood

What if I followed the salaf all the way but never ever called myself salaf but Muslim only? What will happen to me in hereafter?

الحمد لله على نعمة الاسلام I am a Hanafi and I believe that Abi Hanifah was following the Quraan, Sunnah & Sahabah more than any Aalim of our time. This is the same for Imaam Shafi, Maalik, Ahmed رحمة الله تعالى عليه Unfortunately The Salafi camp has caused alot to deviation in the Ummah. They are not following their Madhab of Sheikh Albani RA We should rather called them Albanis... 5th Madhab The people of Saudi Arabia literally bow down to their Rulers, and they claim to be the custodians of Tawhid and Aqeedah, but cannot stop the literal worship of Kings. Muslims in Western Countries are fighting against each other, cos of so called Salafi Madhab

With all due respect “salafi” is an outdated term and many Muslims *including myself* have stopped using it. Alhamdulillah I’m content with just saying I’m a Muslim that follows the Quran and Sunnah. “Salafi”, “salafiya” or “Salafism” has too much baggage now unfortunately 🤷🏾‍♂️

Specialise a single imam to be nearer to quran and hadees is like specialize a single companion of rasoolullah to be nearer to rasoolallah than all other companions who also take everything from rasoolallah stop everything what is forbidden.

Al-Albani just contradicted himself He quotes the hadith of 73 sects and says we should call ourselves Salafi, okay you can call yourself a Salafi but it's not mandatory that's just your opinion The Sahaba NEVER called themselves "Salafi" they were just MUSLIM as the Quran states call yourself a MUSLIM so what's the point of bringing up the hadith if the companions never used the term Salafi? If you like the term fine you can use it but there's the better option of actually using the specific label that the sahaba used which is "MUSLIM" And his second argument saying we have to differentiate ourselves from the other 73 sects, once again this is flawed In the time of the Sahaba there was munafiqs and other people upon a corrupt belief, yet the Sahaba never said let's change our label so we are different from them and the Messenger Of Allah(ﷺ) never said this either. If you believe that Muhammad(ﷺ) conveyed the message completely, without hiding anything or not explaining things properly we should've seen him(ﷺ) give us this label "salafi" but he did not! So I'm not going to call myself a salafi

How can you say you fool.

He is very clever. He is clearly avoiding KHALAF. The question is what is the role of KHALAF? Only follow Salaf, what are the Khalaf for? Shia, Salafi, Ikhwani, wahhabi these are clearly SECTS. No doubt in it.
