This was my dad's favourite song. He really loved it because he was deeply antimilitarist, antiwar and antiweapon. And he loved the melody, he played it several times on his guitar. He passed away last 3rd june. We played it at his funerals. As a tribute, my son played it at his wedding, two days before the funerals. Love it till my last breathe. Love you Dad. Miss you so much.

I've never seen this particular video ( and I grew up with the Beatles, yes I'm that old lol) . His message is timeless. I cry everyone I hear this song. I miss John Winston Lennon. I learned this song on the piano when I was 6 years old and I played it for my grandpa. Until a year later he died. I stopped and shut the world out and listened to this song and I found a girl who loves This man too❤ she misses him too. Yoko Ono later said that this is a very simple song. She was right; it's a simple harmony atop a simple chord progression. Obviously Lennon, as a Beatle, was capable of writing very complex music. But perhaps Lennon intended to show that deep meaning could be expressed in simple terms that everyone understands. If so he succeeded brilliantly. "Imagine" is a beautiful song with strikingly beautiful lyrics. This is a masterpiece.
