Yes, buts its a House of Pain song, Cypress tribute this song because they said, this is the greatest hiphop song ever
He didn't use the N-word. He called the name of 'Arnold Schwartznegger' (the actor who acts in action movies) such as 'Terminator', 'Predator', 'True Lies' etc. Also, the song is aimed at a record producer that they had beef with. They believed that a record producer that they sent a demo-tape to, and who rejected them, stole ideas for their song and gave it to another group (Kris Kross) who then released the song. (You guys should probably also pull up the lyrics to songs you're reacting to, so you could have a better idea of what's being said in the lyrics).

"Schwarzenegger", to the best of my recollection, literally means "Black Ridge Dweller", as in "Black Mountain Ridge Dweller" -- i.e., likely from the Tirolean Alps of Austria. Nobody in Austria, to my admittedly limited knowledge, bears the surname "Schwarzenneger" -- that would be just plain ignorant, not to mention uncharacteristically albeit frustratingly redundant. 🤪🤪🤪

It’s amazing to me what a small population Ireland has versus the Irish impact on music in general. Really amazing.

Joe Nicolo was a producer that they sent this tape to. Joe turned it down, but then a few months later, he worked on the song "Jump" by Kris Kross, which sounded a lot like "Jump Around." That's why he said it was dedicated to Joe "The Biter" Nicolo.

One of the most sampled and imitated backgrounds in all of hip-hop!! And the lead singer made a song in the late 90's called "What It's Like", which is amazing.
"House of Pain" is a reference to the movie The Island of Dr. Moreau, where there's a doctor performing experiments combining humans and animals, and the laboratory is called "the house of pain". On the first album "Fine malt lyrics" there are several samples from that movie.

This song came out in 92 when i was in college in Boston. The reason Everlast was wearing a postal worker’s hat and coat is because back then there was a trend where you go to those used uniform thrift shops and buy federal or local government or company uniforms, coats, jackets and hats. It was a huge trend back then i wore a sanitation worker coat that fall. My BFF wore mechanic shirts and construction coats. The postal clothing was in high demand, it was very hard to get plus it was a symbolic of you going “Going Postal” which was sadly a reference of the 86’ Emond Post Office OK Shooting were a postal worker killed 14 and injured 6 of his co-workers. This was way before any major school shootings like Columbine in 99’ or even before 9-11 but back then it was a conversation and the news covered it for weeks compared to now.

Easily one of the most recognizable Rap/ Hip Hop songs of all time brought about by some Irish dudes and a Latvian who played Irish, from the west coast but had all that East Coast Boston/New York attitude. The song is King and if anybody says any different I'm comin to get ya! I'm coming to get ya! Spit in your face and say "did I wet cha?"(yes I changed the lyrics) I Came to get down, I came to get down so get out your seat and jump around!

Fun Fact: "The Biter" Nicolo (which Everlast "dedicates" the song to in the last line of the lyrics) was a record producer that House of Pain sent the tape to, and he rejected it. And shortly after produced "Jump" by Kris Kross - House of Pain strongly suspected that they stole the title from their song. House of Pain's "Jump Around" then released on the label Tommy Boy and became an international hit, as well. So, Kris Kross - Jump! The second Jump song of that year!

This was back when people used to have rap battles so if you look up the lyrics its all about keeping his flow, not necessarily killing people, etc. (although things like that did happen). It was produced by DJ Muggs of the hip hop group Cypress Hill so when he raps "sure 'nuff I got props from the kids on the Hill..." the kids on the Hill he's referring to is the group Cypress Hill. The song is dedicated to Matt Champy, a friend of the group who died in 1992.
