This song's the greatest tune of my life. In 2009, I was a senior in h.s. and my friends we all serenaded outside of our school singing our lungs out with this jam because I was among the greatest friends I've ever had. We all had the upmost respect and love for metal because this jam brought us together. Hearing it all over again I can rewind and repeat it for them. This one's for my friends. I love them with all my heart and to me this song in connection with my friends is priceless. These are moments I'll cherish for as long as I'll live. Shout out to you bro. Excellent reaction.

I was a year behind you but this hit just as hard for me. Having already fallen into folk, symphonic and black metal, the artistry and storytelling made a huge impact, and I cannot rave about Sam's first solo enough. Somehow the way the harmonic literally sings as part of that chord progression makes me cry to this day, no shame. I like very little Dragonforce and power metal in general, but this is my favourite, has been from day 1

I just love how much Herman Li puts the STANK on his solo in this one.

4:35 and 4:45 just in case you want to know how and what in the hell is he doing to get the sound effect here without strumming or tapping, that blue ring on his finger is a tool called Hot Handz if I'm not mistaken. It acts like modifier for the guitar to make Extra cool sounds . It acts kind of like a wah or whammy pedal in a certain way but of course you don't need your feet 😁 again can't recommend Dragonforce enough they're just amazing. Would love operation ground and pound next

First video with their signature guitars. Herman designed his own to be all kinds of versatile. He also designed Sam's. Really impressive. I had to get one for myself and its never let me down.

Dragonforce scars of yesterday is very much a video game song they even do a song called symphony of the night after the castlevania game

in terms of 'better guitarist' it depends what youre looking for, like for performance value you have the likes of Angus young, but for just technical ability hes definately with the best

Herman Li is not as great a guitarist as people claim. He's definitely a studio rockstar. DragonForce also uses harmonizers which makes 1 note sound like 2. Judge greatness in it's barest form during a live performance.

Mind you, they trimmed half the solos to make it fit to a video 😅 Still a fantasmic song

Name a better guitarist? Buckethead, Randy Rhoads, Dimebag, Jake E Lee, Tim Henson, Tosin Abasi, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Jason Richardson, SRV. No disrespect to DF's writing ability but they're studio musicians for sure. When you take away Herman Li's effects toys, he can be outplayed by a good number of axe men.
