The craziest landing I ever had was in Terace BC on Boxing Day. In a blizzard 🌨️. The pilot turned the lights on and all I could see was white. We hit the runway so hard and bounced up. Going Way too fast. So he pinned the throttle to try and take off again. We barely cleared the trees at the end of the runway. Second time around. There was so much snow, we couldn’t taxi to the building. So everyone had to get out and walk in a foot of snow. I do not recommend.

That's was a hell of a smooth landing in VFR conditions, let alone that you didn't see the pavement until about 100' or so from the ground. With low visibility conditions my main fear would be having a very high descent rate and landing short. Besides that, very smooth landing sir, that’s the advantage of being in a smaller aircraft, you can use as much of the runway as you want as long as it’s a very long runway!

I wasnt able to tell of the plane had tuched down yet, very well done
Silky smooth skin..err landing ...fantastic job
That landing was Apsolutly buttered
Butter baby
Nailed it bro!
That was like landing on fog! 🎉
I think you busted minimums there cowboy, but all's well that ends well. Nice approach.
Been there, done that!
When I first saw the video I thought the fog was a white wall and it was some guy with a plane in his living room😂
I didn't know silent hill had an airport.
Flooooooooat.

Nice
When games become so real that I wonder if msfs added a pilot animation at the end there lol 😅 Buttery landing as well!
You must have phenomenal vision. I could not see the landing lights at all until the last fww seconds.

That makes me very happy to hear that! it was my at home simulator that first inspired me to get into Aviation along with my dad’s old Flying books
Boy, that thing's quiet. Gotta love instruments.. Yes, you take it seriously..you stopped narrating for full attention..well done sir. Very professional. You're hired!👍

Thanks a lot! That’s why I do the narration afterward. So I’m not trying to do it while flying :)

Haha it’s all an illusion… it’s the pattern on the pants haha (anchorman quote)
The craziest landing I ever had was in Terace BC on Boxing Day. In a blizzard 🌨️. The pilot turned the lights on and all I could see was white. We hit the runway so hard and bounced up. Going Way too fast. So he pinned the throttle to try and take off again. We barely cleared the trees at the end of the runway. Second time around. There was so much snow, we couldn’t taxi to the building. So everyone had to get out and walk in a foot of snow. I do not recommend.
Good butta makin'!

Sometimes silky smooth means too long of a landing roll and crash into the trees at the end. All depends on the conditions and airfield.

you are absolutely correct! haha the long silky smooth approach is only for long silky smooth runways

@@EvanLuftI know I commented on this a while back, but when do you cut your throttle to execute such a nice landing?
Nice 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Greased it sir, nice landiing
When you have the als in sight you can decend to 100´ above the tdze, it kinda looks like you went under without saying you had the reils insight, not sure if this is true but looked a little iffy haha
Single pilot IMC is rough. Good job
That's was a hell of a smooth landing in VFR conditions, let alone that you didn't see the pavement until about 100' or so from the ground. I can imagine that someone who doesn't handle it particularly frequently could find it quite a scary experience to go down that low... I hope you had plenty of better alternates at least

Thanks so much!! I have to say sometimes you get lucky and flare at the right time and sometimes you don’t! Haha I find that IFR flying when it’s low… is sometimes easier because you are very focused and it forces you to be prepared. :)
That was a long float.. good thing the rwy was long and the plane was small.

Yes I went for a super smooth floaty touchdown! Haha
Just to be clear having the rabbit in sight only allows you to drop another 100’. You must have the other elements of the runway threshold in sight.

Hahahahhahaha and what illusion is there if the bunny is running towards you vs away?
@nuclearrabbit1

Actually, almost correct. Having them in sight allows you to drop to 100' above TDZE. Usually, it's the same thing due to 200' minimums being so common, but not always
With low visibility conditions my main fear would be having a very high descent rate and landing short. Besides that, very smooth landing sir, that’s the advantage of being in a smaller aircraft, you can use as much of the runway as you want as long as it’s a very long runway!
Ay if u dont mind me asking what plane were u flying at the time. Also love the content please keep it up 👍🏻😊

Easy as flying with CC Gumps! Lol. I still get nervous finding an ILS on IFR! Lol.

Yep, just the other day I had to flight three approaches right to minimum. I have to say it was quite the experience since I haven’t flown an approach to minimum’s in a few months.

If I was flying with you, I would say you greased it. I've only been up in a twinkle two or three times in my life, but it was fun. I'm a 172 fan myself, but I'll enjoy a piper if I can't find anything else. They are a little more gentle in a stall. I guess I like a view under my wings.
Buttered the bread
Note to self after a steal an airplane After the geomagnetic Storm happens I will descend below minimum once runway in sight...ooo need to do one on setting alt. . . No atc. Nevmnd
Better than when I landed a plane (it was my first time flying. Video on my channel)
Cat 1 landing🥰
passengers " did we land yet?"
Although he didn’t really have the runway in sight at 200 feet, he had enough visual references of the runway environment to continue the approach.
That looks crazy not being able to see anything around you. I know you use your instruments but still, I’d like to see if possible lol

Not to detract from Evan's skillz, but aren't pretty much all normal landings silky smooth with a trailing link gear? If he was flying a 402 I'd be more impressed. Either way great video and way to slay low mins!
Those are the leading lights
