Guido, what you can do is upload as ‘private’ or ‘unlisted’ and wait a couple of hours before switching to ‘public’. That way KZread has time to process the video at higher resolution before the first viewers see it. Glad to see you back here on KZread! - Martin

Whew! That must be a real relief when you finally break through the ceiling and can start to see ground features. I’ve only flown Cessna 152s through 182s and ultralights under VFR, and since most of my flying days are behind me, this was a real treat to watch. Thank you for sharing your cockpit view.

Thank you very much Rutger. Flying is always fun, be it in a 152, 182 or in a 525. An ILS is a well rehearsed, standardized maneuver. Especially if the weather is marginal, I am mentally 100% prepared for a go around. Hence the "LANDING" call at minimums - or "GO AROUND" if required. Also the go around procedure is well briefed and known. So there is no room for surprises. Thank you or your comment and Happy Landings, Guido

Great to see you back Mr. Gudio! The ground flap system is interesting to me. I've always been taught to lift flaps on touch down to reduce the lift off of the wing, increasing the weight on the wheels increasing braking force.

Stephen the flaps go down to 60 deg and are called therefore „ground flaps“ or „lift dump flaps“. I should have pointed that out more clearly in the video. The Hawker Jet HS125 uses a similar system. Google that. Thanks for watching my videos in such detail and Happy Landings, Guido

Lift dump uses both flaps and spoilers to both reduce lift and increase drag. Yes on a plane with no spoilers or extended flap settings it’s better to raise them.

Thank you! I am glad you enjoy the videos. Flying different aircraft can be a challenge. The jet in the video is covered under the CE-525 (S) type rating. (S) = single pilot. Although you are allowed to fly anything from the CJ1 to the CJ4 with his rating, there are significant differences. Not so much the "flying part", that's all the same. It is more about systems and avionics. If I have not flown a specific aircraft for a while, I take my time to familiarize. Safety is ALWYS first. Happy Landings, Capt.
