Thanks for the support, appreciate it! what I did is make an ellipse. Pick one ground colour (purple for example) with the eyedropper tool. then copy it and change the colours (slightly lighter and darker) by clicking on colour on the left and move the selection a little bit. Hopefully it's clear to you now :-)

I’m working on my own logo and it’s almost done I worked with the pen tool to create it on illustrator but I’m having trouble figuring out how to color a empty space that is not a path but has detail witjin it like lines that are paths is there a way to do this ?

I made a drawing wd brush tool n when i tried to fill in color wd bucket tool, a dialogue box appears saying 'the live paint bucket only colors live paint group'. kindly help me how to over come that problem.
