Honestly, it's great seeing this scandal because I think more people are realizing that she was never a good person. I never liked her or any of her music, personally found bubblepop annoying. Everyone always made her seem "iconic" or a "sexy queen" but now the only thing she'll be "iconic" for is leaving a decent guy for a weirdo. I guess the weirdos always find each other.

The Hyuna thing is depressing because it's just like the girls dating Seungri after the scandal, it's pathetic. He gave you courage? He literally let his friend get away with SA and joked about it and you feel courageous with him? That's wild to me.

that's not completely true. He wasn't named as part of the the group chat . The video he was sent was sent on private chat taken with consent and not of SA. but was shared without consent. The girl found out and was angry and he admitted to making inappropriate remarks about her but distanced himself from him after receiving the video. He said he didn't report it because he didn't realise at the time it was "a big deal". People read this and thought he said SA isn't a big deal but he was referring to not being aware of that guy actually illegally filming and SA'ing women.

He also denied ANY of this at first, and had to change his story at least once to finally tell the truth. There's no way he wasn't aware and we don't need to baby a grown man who was fully aware of his friend's actions. He didn't think it was a big deal. Obviously this means he didn't think SA videos were a big deal.

“Encores are supposed to be fun” and they are for groups who know they can sing. It’s only scary for groups who are hesitant to sing. Look at G-Idle’s encores or Nmixx’s they are having fun while singing. That’s what some Kpop Stan’s need to realize. Encores are always fun for artist who are confident in their abilities.

She had a great career going on but it feels like she's sacrificing it all for a man. If this relationship doesn't work out (and odds are, it won't) then she might struggle for money afterwards, because I don't see how her career is ever going to recover from this damage. It's all rather disappointing because HyunA has basically gone from having a brand (which took many years to build up) as a really bold, progressive and admirable artist, to selling out her ethics to date a guy who is pretty anti to all that. To need to date a man to give herself "courage" also paints her as a very insecure person, it doesn't send a positive message out at all and feels rather behind the times during an era when most South Korean women and men are increasingly rebuking traditional roles. HyunA's actions sound like the behaviour of someone on the rebound, making poor relationship choices and looking for validation in others in a futile bid to patch over the wounds of heartbreak from another relationship. But its all rather strange as she expressed very little heartbreak in comparison to Dawn over the break-up of their relationship (which from what I have gathered, she also instigated), so maybe this is all just who she actually is?

People complaining about how fans are so focused on encore stages nowadays completely ignore the fact that for many groups, the encore stages are the ONLY place we can hear them singing live, and so, it's the only place we can see if they can actually sing without the aid of lip sync and auto tune. In the past, when idols actually sang live most of the time, they could afford being goofy and have fun in encore stages, because fans could hear their singing abilities in actual performances, but now, the encore is the only show case of actual singing left for many groups. Especially Hybe groups.

"Encores are supposed to be fun" whoever said that, I'll give them 10/10 for the mental cartwheel. Since all performances are lip synced, encores simply shows everyone the idol's true talent without the autotune.

The groups are doing well actually. Txt and Illit had comebacks recently and they proved themselves during encore. Illits last encore for example was very good. At this point people just wanna hate. They are mad that the girls are not singing high notes or smth like that but there are no high notes in the sing. They are singing the song just like the original song!!! Kpop stans need to shut up. And if we want to blame a company, let's blame all of them since it seems like they cannot stop using loud backtracks for music shows. Delulus kpop stans will never sdmit that

Of all the NCT members, Renjun seems so sweet and likable. It sickens me that his health has been affected by being harassed and bullied by people who have such small brains that they think it's funny. I hope karma deals them the same fate. ILLIT are in a career where their job is to sing. Unless you're tone deaf and can't even distinguish good singing between bad, it's very clear they're all horrible singers minus Minju who is average at best. Kpop prioritizes marketability these days and ALL the ILLIT girls are very pretty which allows for brand deals, ad campaigns and guesting on TV shows. Wonhee was literally just named #1 for Brand Reputation in April and the rest of the girls are all in the top 20 alongside BlackPink and NewJeans. Kpop at the end of the day is about making money, it stopped being about music a long time ago. Magnetic is a banger song, but the girls can't actually sing it and quite frankly companies don't care because fans will defend weak vocals to protect their favs. I hope the ILLIT girls will pursue improving their vocals just for their love of singing and performing on stage, regardless of whether the company cares or not, but they got a really long way to go.

From what I gathered from this, Hyuna pretty know knows what she's doing is wrong, that what he did is wrong however he makes her happy so she doesn't want to pay attention to it. She's putting her happiness first above everything else because if she pays attention to what everyone is saying about him and their relationship that she'll lose her happiness - she'd have to leave him. So she agrees that what he did was terrible, she agrees that it's horrible but she's compromising her morals and judgement to be with him because 'happiness'. That really sucks. Happiness can be found in a lot of places, she shouldn't cling to him just because he makes her happy. wrong is wrong. I would've had more respect if she said 'I know he did a horrible thing, he knows he did a horrible thing but in my opinion he's changed and has grown as a person and he makes me happy so I wish to give him a chance to be better instead of keeping him trapped by his past." would it be great? No. But it'd fall in line with the thought that everyone can change and if that was her situation it'd make a lot more sense and be way more respectable.

What in the world is going on with hybe? Like, all the boygroups seem to have had a good vocal coach to train them but when it comes to girl groups (exept newjeans) they suddenly cant a afford a decent vocal coach? Did all the vocal coaches just *poof* out of existence and became air molecules?

He's always favored girl groups and prefers to produce songs for them. Even prefers doing their choreo. I think he's given up on boy groups, tbh. Notice how all 3 boy groups are self-produced? His sound is dated and doesn't work for boy groups. For girl groups he can still make solid songs, so rather than adapt his style, he just won't produce boy groups anymore lmao. It seems like every entertainment company, including Hybe, wants to debut a group that will attain BTS's level of success. However, BTS is a once in a lifetime phenomenon that I don't think will happen again any time soon -- especially not for idols whose live vocals are subpar (as much as the West values beauty, singers have to be able to sing). They'd also have to bring something new to the table, but that's a conversation for another day.

companys need to stop debuting idols like every year and instead take their time. Forget "improvment", If the members arent on an average level on singing and dancing and above average on the thing they specialize in, they arent simply debut ready. I think illits songs are good, and the members seem nice so people shouldnt give them hate, hybe is the one responsible and should get critisims, but there were better people in ru next that should have debut either along side them or instead of them. It has always been like this but atleast the members were good at singing and dancing, but the whole visual thing has gotten out of hand and especially the maknae stuff. Know it seems people moslty only pick the cute ones especially when they are a maknae, the only difference is again at least they were stable and could sing while dancing. And being the maknae has almost become a position like main dancer rather than just being a fact (maknae has always been a position but i think you get what i mean)

having fun on encores doesnt mean singing badly. if idols were trained properly, singing live shouldnt be a scary thing. at the end of the day, it's on hybe for being so unprofessional.

Honestly Renjun deserves none of this backlash. The man has done nothing, and is one of the sweetest people you can ever see.

Moka is one of the most nicest person I've seen that debut from survival shows. She didn't argue that much when she failed to secure her favourite lines during every rounds in the competition. She's very charismatic in her performances which is why judges notice her and why fans voted for her to debut. Despite her weakness in singing, she still had the courage to sing during encore which is one of the hardest things you can do when you know your flaws yet you did your best for the fans. These issues made me realize how important it is to still focus on the things what you love and want to do even if the world don't favor you.

At the end of the day we all know that kpop is still business in some aspect. You need to be a company who is capable of having sales to support your groups. Famous groups lead to more sponsors, sponsors help the company run continuously.

I understand where the fans are coming from on the subject of the encore. For starters, the times aren’t like before where the idols can practically do silly things on the stage. Don’t get me wrong they can still do that but companies now want good picture moments. They already have done that with their dance practice videos, it’s no longer fun to watch bc it’s all good high quality, it’s all professional looking. Everything in K-pop now is heavily under a camera and idols have to look good 24/7 on every minute of the hour. I saw clips of some idols just standing there and not doing anything funny or yk, they’re just standing there while singing. And I understand where everyone else is coming from with the singing.. us fans want to root for a groups or person that can sing and perform. Unfortunately some K-pop companies are only looking at looks and not talent. I feel like on the sponsorship isn’t the groups fault that they got picked to be ambassadors, I think people should step back and realize that sponsorships reach out to the girls company and the company gives the green light or red light. Know what I mean ? I don’t blame the girls for that.

Encores are supposed to be fun, it should be and it is, idols are having fun while doing it to celebrate their winnings but even though they're doing silly stuff, they still manage to sound good. SKZ, TXT, ITZY, NMIXX, G-IDLE, Enhypen, BND, Exo, Blackpink, Aespa, Ateez and the list go on and on. And don't give me excuses like they're still rookies, if you'll look up to it, you'll see their first ever encore stage and did well. Or even on live performance on radios, they sounded so good. KIOF and Babymonster are rookie too and they can sing well, why can't others do it? BTS can sing too while doing silly stuff and even when they're doing difficult choreos, and they've been doing that since their debut.

What I wanna know is are there any other concept for girl group besides the usual basic concepts? Did hybe have to put out another gg so similar to the last one they put out? So boring🙄

I have always been a HyunA fan, but it's not even the relationship. I couldn't believe she strung out her new agency like that, when she posted it on her socials without telling them and they had to deal with the fallout.
