I lived in Illinois from August 2012 till June 2018. That state is so corrupt. There’s no money for anything. There’s no money to maintain the roads properly. But there’s money to perform upkeep on the State Government properties. That state is corrupt.

I'm trying my best to leave in 2019, it's everything about Illinois. It sucks! I've been wanting to buy a house, but not here! I'm on to the state's trick. I feel sorry for all the home owners that got suckered into buying a home here. For the people that moved out, I know things got better! The closer you get to this Illinois, the shittier the people act!

Good luck getting out. And I really mean that. The problem for many will be unloading homes that no one esle wants to buy because of the terrible taxes. I guess some will have to accept foreclosure just to be able to flee liberal la-la land. Again, good luck, and when you arrive at your new home remember it is liberal ideals that kills civilization; leave liberal ideals in Illinoise.

I totally agree with this gentleman and he makes a great point. Think about it, This is why Illinois and the City of Rockford is #16 at the worst of living this city is because there's no funding when it comes to education, crime rates are an all-time high, property taxes are up and finally jobs are lost. If Rockford, Illinois wants to become a top 25 town, First and foremost, reduce the crime, create jobs, set better education for students in high school and small college, lower the crime and finally, get a casino in Rockford so you will get great revenue to create more jobs then going somewhere else because Beloit, WI is sitting pretty for a new casino. This town, Especially Rockford would either be a ghostown or file for bankruptcy. Period. He's right the city of Rockford and Illinois use to be a smooth sailing town and now it's corrupt with missed opportunities knocking at people's doorsteps because of dysfunctional manipulation insecure people that can't make better wise decisions. There's a saying that "If You Don't Manage Your Money, The Money Will Manage You." Money doesn't bring you any happiness, If you don't manage it well.

Chicago always was lowest when it came to education. But the cost of owning a house wasn't too terrible. Even affordable. The crime and debauchery have lessened the city's appeal considerably in the last twenty years. Chicago continues to lose it's middle class. The lower class is on the uptick along with a small percent of higher wage earners. Crain's chicago business might have additional info as to why.

Don't worry, I'm not talking about precious little baby Trump. He may count debt as assets, but I don't. I don't see legalization happening any time soon tbh. Yes, but he was POWERLESS to do and cut ANYTHING because Madigan and his cartel were there to shoot every single thing down. I'm happy he at least blocked extra spending, but even Rauner disappointed me. Legalization is definitely happening and SHOULD happen, the problem is we'll probably execute it poorly, just like Commifornia has done as well; tax it WAY too high, to the point where the black market will just continue to be dominant over the legal market.

However, I don't get my checks on time. I never know when I'll a check. And I have to constantly to call his ofc. After years of this I call and let him have. The last time we spoke. He literally said to me quote, " not the bullshit out and get to the fucking point", this was after I left him 3 voice messsges complaining about mot receiving my checks. I really need help. My local attorney has written him letters on my behalf which went unanswered. My lawyer says that wirk may never settle with me and that he can't make them.

After 54 years as a resident, I left 10 years ago. It was the BEST move I ever made. None of my friends could understand it. "What's wrong with Illinois?" they asked at the time. They knew nothing different . Most Illinoisans have no idea about the terrific quality of life available right nearby. My move was to Minnesota, and I can tell you it changed my life. I used to drive down that abomination of a road (294) with it's billboards every 6 feet, drivers acting like they don't care about anyone but themselves, and horrible views. I was stressed to the hilt. Now I drive down a road lines with lakes, and trees, and really considerate people. It's wonderful AND IT'S MUCH CHEAPER.

No one in Illinois who works for the public sector gets to retire at 50 with a pension unless they've worked for the state for at least 32 years. That's under tier 1. Under tier 2, a person who gets a state job in public safety has to work til they're 60. Non-security has to work til 67. Benefits cap at 32 years, so a person who hires in at 18 will give either 10 years, or 17 years to the state for free.
