Certainly may be if someone want the classical way, but Big Luciano and Andrea Bocelli's versions aren't so full of joy like this. I can fell the amusement in their voices and in their glances. And "rubbish" seems a very hard word what these guys don't deserves, no matter who is put in comparison with them.

+signore del tempo If you did any research at all you would find that they approve and enjoy Il Volo music, they are good friends with Bocelli and Placido Domingo, (one of Pavarotti's partner and friend) Il Volo looks upon all three of these men as masters and love them.

What I find interesting is how they were picked to be a group. The producers of Italian Idol hit a homerun when it was suggested that Piero, Ignazzio and GianLuca sing together. They basically grew up together and some 10 yrs+ are still a group. One of the best I've ever heard. They're the whole package. You have the heartthrob, professional singer and the entertainer all in one group who compliment each other so well.

I am also amazed on how the stars aligned. On the 4th episode of their talent show, they were put together and they caught the eye of the Andrea Bocelli's manager and the rest is history. They were the first Italians to sing a contract with an American record label.

My favorite performance; this was the very first time I saw them and (like everyone else, just about) fell head over heels in love with them. I still can't get enough of them - I adore Il Volo.

Exceptional vocalist and professionalism at such a young age! WE need more examples like these guys to prove you can do ANYTHING!

Nine years ago this was recorded. they just celebrated "The Best of 10 Years Tour" in USA to be cut short due to CoronaVirus Outbreak. 20 sold-out venues. They are the best. And very thoughtful and kind young men. While in Italian Lockdown due to the CVirus they reach out via social media to encourage fellow countrymen and share with the world via TV stations, and social media. God has truly blessed them. Angels sent from Heaven to encourage us. My daily vitamins.

Exactly. Just came across this again. Saw them in Feb. Here. Saw them in 2017 in Italy. They make my soul happy.

This is when I first saw them and have been a huge fan since then! They are amazing - you don't have to understand Italian because you just feel the music❤️❤️❤️❤️

We need more Italian artists in America to get good music.. Italians are kings of music.

For those that doesnt know what this song is about here i will explain: in the first part of the song Gianluca explains how beautiful is the sunny day he is watching, then piero enters in chorus explaining how the person in front of him (Sta fronte a te!) is more beatiful than the sun, the sun to his eyes is more beatiful than the real one.(SOLE MIO)

What a group of exciting young talents, their singing is so mesmerizing that I can listen to it again and again..

I wish the video had more footage of the judges reaction to these amazing singer I wish they would have asked them their opinions. Clearly these kids smashed all the idol competition love these guys.

YES - VERY interesting to note these kids / guys are same or younger than all the idol contestants - and vocally in the stratosphere.... goes to show you the value of formal classical music performance and voice training.

The judges aren't there because they can sing (Randy and Simon when he was there), but rather because they know how to distingush between good pitch/bad pitch good notes, smooth transitions and the like. People who can do that are not usually the best of singers.

It only felt like yesterday when I first saw Il Volo make their debut in America. Now they are San Remo winners and have represented Italy at Eurovision 2015 coming 3rd(and 1st in televotes). Hope they move onto bigger things later on.

WOW! Really strong and mature voices. They will be a international hit.

I saw them perform in San Francisco and they were absolutely wonderful. For being so young, they put on a show just like true professionals. Some people had flown in from out of state to see them. They have unbelievable talent, showmanship and sincerity when performing. It was much more than I expected. I wanted to scoop them up, take them home and cook them a homemade meal.

I love all three of them. How fortunate for us that they got together..awesome voices!

+Frances Van Siclen Frances, never be afraid to go back to the beginning! This was the performance that made the breakthrough for the guys in the USA. I come back to it every few months just to remind myself how awesome they were at 15 or 16 years old. Without this performance, who knows whether we would have them the way they are today? I never grow tired of it and, as you know, I have a life. And so do you! But what kind of a life would we have without il Volo in it?

With an Italian family and many friends in other EU states, I support continued membership. However, the people are sovereign and the result of a democratic vote must be accepted. The people have the right to be stupid! More importantly, my wife and I have been for our regular "fix" of sushi in our favorite Japanese restaurant. When we got back, while my wife was connected to Naples via Skype, I watched a program on BBC about ABBA, the Swedish pop-group from the 1970s. Bear with me on this; it's relevant! In 1974, ABBA won the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Waterloo." Their career took off afterwards and they achieved global success. It reminded me of il Volo on American Idol. Another single performance that started something that has led to them becoming popular all over the world. I loved ABBA in the 1970s when I was in my 20s. I love iL Volo's music even more in my 60s. However, another similarity between the two groups is that so many of their songs are about emotional pain; and especially the pain of lost love. I leave you to study ABBA's music - as I have. For our young men, listen to the Spanish version of their first album! It is a fantastic piece of work, filled with emotion and heartbreak. I love it! What does that say about me? The success of the musical and feature film of "Mamma Mia" has demonstrated the timelessness of ABBA's music. However, il Volo's repertoire of songs has an even longer heritage in Italian - and US - popular culture. Many of them were hits for Elvis Presley and other top recording artists in the USA in the 1950s and 1960s. Il Volo has renewed the popularity of those songs while giving them a fresh and contemporary feel that makes them sound like they were composed only recently. Listen to their arrangement of "Volare" (or "nel blu dipinto di blu" to give it its proper name) - one of the greatest hit songs ever, in any language. It seems like a new song with the conga drums giving the rhythm so much prominence. Hearing and seeing it at Verona last September was a revelation for me. I cannot hear it often enough. It's about time that singers actually have talent, and they have it in droves. I think it's been about 45 years since any singer gives me goose bumps every time I listen to them...and all 3 are gorgeous...AAAAAAA..to be 20 again!

Never dreamed that since then, I know all these words have met them, been to many of their concerts, here and in Italy, and own every CD. These boys have been all over the world now and have grown up before our eyes. They gave remained humble and are close to their families. Their music has touched all ages. We love and admire them .
