I've been with iKON since they were Team B, and this is a very different retro vibe, and I love it. It still feels like iKON, but unique from pervious songs. I love 80s music too, and it really feels 80s to me. I love Donghyuk's long note, I could just replay that part over and over, and I have.... I've always loved the tone of his voice and it really gets highlighted in this song. Also our maknae Chanwoo has really grown! I love every part of this song♥️

iKON can just totally pull off any genre and vibe. Lovette!!!!

This is what separates Bobby from the rest and why he is widely considered the best rapper in the kpop industry. Make sure to listen to the whole mini album as well! iKON music never disappoints! And they always serve something new every time. 🥳🎉 There are some references of their past music videos here. At one scene, all their albums are shown on the billboards. 😊 The relay singing at the bridge part is divine! 🥰

Shades of Love Scenario with Junhoes red hair. Also notice the Dragon on the car-- there was talk that Dragon would be the title song. Jay originally wanted to do "But You" as a solo but decided it would sound better as a group and he fought to have that be the title song. Either way the songs are brilliant! iKON never disappoints.

Something about this song/mv gives me a very nostalgic feeling. Maybe that’s why the album is called Flashback. I wonder if the rest of the album has a similar vibe.

Honestly, I don't know how to classify the album. I think the different combinations of members working with Bobby makes the differences int he tracks. FYI Yoon is credited on a track too. I like all the songs for different reasons.

I am loving that we get to hear so much more from DK, Song, and Chanwoo. So good! This song just feels so refreshing right now even though it’s retro. ❤️ Why Why Why probably has more emotional meaning between iKON and the fans. It was the first comeback song not created by BI. Before Flashback, all of their discography was written and produced by him except for I Miss you so Bad (G-Dragon) and Flower (DK). You should definitely check out the rest of the mini album. I love the song, its definitely different sound from iKON. Jinhwan/Jay strongly recommended this song to be the title track of the album. Bobby said in the press conference "we don't aim some fancy goals with 'But You'. We just aim for something new, as we've always done. Rather than taking an easy save route, we wanted to show the different colors of iKON" I hope you can react to B-side track 'Name' to see the melancholic side of iKON. I'm a baby iKONIC from kingdom era and I love this new mini album so much. This is a very refreshing title track to me. You can totally see how much efforts they put in their works. Each song in the album has different vibes but all full of details. Also I can appreciate Donghyuk, Yunhyeong and especially Chanwoo's vocals more. All the members are glowing now and I'm really proud of them.

Unexpected but totally love that their exploring a new genre as their title track. It still has that nostalgic and sad feeling to it similar to their previous title tracks that it seems familiar in that sense. Very easy to listen to. If you love to hear Bobby singing check out his solo album Love and Fall. If you can pls react to I Love You and Run Away. Also Tendae is such a vibe. Actually the whole album is.

iKON has been serving different genres over the years... Even Bobby's songs in his solo albums are different, so not really surprised but always excited to hear what they have coming...

I’ve been an iKONIC for quite a while, and this is totally different sound for them. They can literally do anything. I love this video. Donghyuk looks and sounds so amazing, and I’m a Hwanic, lol. That being said, though, I prefer Dragon and Name on this album, they are my favorites, and I hope you get to hear them. Just my opinion, I like them better than the title track. The song means that they tried to find the butterflies when dating someone new but they feel empty because they still can't get over their past love. That they tried to move on but she's still the one.

Hearing their music, their creations since Who Is Next era this song is really different but they still manage to pu their image.. iKON is iKON and no one can be like them 😊

DK's voice in that part gave me chills. I've known ikon now almost the same time I hot into kpop so maybe 3 years. In those 3 years I discover more and more songs from them. This one is really something different from the other songs. All of them in this comeback is so👌👌

You're right this is something new for iKON. The genre is called synthwave, that's why we get 80's vibes when we listen to the song. But the rest of the songs in this album are different, there are hip-hop and even ballad song. The ballad song is my 2nd fav after 'but you', the song called 'name' it has a special hidden meaning for iKONIC. Thank you for reacting and supporting iKON!

I'm a big iKONIC but if I'm honest, although I like the song I didn't love it. Personally, I'm just tired of 80s retro in KPOP but this is the best rendition of that trend and it sounds so seamless. The more I listen to it, the more I enjoy it. That birdge is just **chef's kiss** To have each member (minus Chanwoo) sing a line back to back was beautiful. And my bias, Chanwoo, finally gets an entire verse in a title track! Although not the comeback I was expecting and hoping for, I'm just glad they're back. PS, Gold and Name are my favorite tracks on the album.

yes... This is new to iKON. iKON known for hiphop-pop genre, sometimes rock or ballad. but more on hiphop. but we all know iKON members are very versatile. they can sing every genre of song.

It’s definitely new to us, but I’m loving it, the song is easy to sing very catchy. To think they are hip hop group😅, and they sing emotional balllads too🥲

i'm a sophomore iKONIC, with them since 2018. the thing is people love to brand iKON as hiphop or whatever but if you dig deeper into their discography, they tried many things and do it their own way. what they love to do is to defy expectation. like after the massive Love Scenario hit, people expect them to do something similar as a follow up but they released Killing Me instead. same with this one, they released something they've never done before but it still feels like iKON, because what makes iKON what they are is their very distinctive individuality. unlike other groups that push group uniformity (with voice, dance moves etc) iKON recognize that that each member is very very different and they celebrate that. that what makes them special and make me fall in love with them. i love the song btw, probably my favorite title song from all of their releases.

Also, for this song they collaborated with a different song writer. I'm not entirely sure upto what extent but I read that the song was inspired by her personal experience.

I’ve been an iKONIC since April ‘19, and I realized there’s no point trying to make sense of what iKON will comeback with because it’s always something different and catchy 😂 for example, this new song. It’s weird that even though this is a new genre they covered, it still has the iKON print/color. That’s what makes them very enticing.
