Toni, I share an extreme passion for helicopters. Thank you so much brother for taking the time and effort to share your knowledge and experience in a step by step process. There are so many configurations when setting up a kit and soooo much information to sort through. Knowing where to start the process can be overwhelming and confusing. ..programming radios ...programming flight controllers ...setting up swash/servos ...choosing and connecting the radio system ...telemetry ..on and on and on. Hi, thank you so much for the videos it helps a lot I have the Ikon2 HD on a Goblin but I can not get it to self level correctly (it goes a little forward and to the left) Do you have a video that explains how to get it to self level ? Links videos or ideas would help immensely, thank you in advance

Hey Larry, I was actually thinking about finally completing this project, and in doing so, I would be completely redoing the Ikon2 setup with my DX9. It may be coming sooner rather than later if I can make some things happen right lol.

Great video! I just built a 700 Kraken and cannot get the HW 200A esc to calibrate. I suspect it's something in transmitter settings. I get full 0-100 on throttle in ikon but esc wont calibrate, I'm using Spektrum NX10. Help! Stuck for weeks and HW support is un-interested at best!

Thank you for your video's, they have been very helpful. However, having some issues trying to get my Castle Ice HV80 to arm with my Ikon 2 HD flybarless system. I have upgraded the Castle esc to the latest firmware. I think it version 4.21. Set it up to use external Governor mode. I have tried to go thru the pages of the Ikon setup software, but Castle will not arm. Tried the min. and max throttle endpoints of 1073 to 1960 but no arming. I am using a Spektrum DX8 with a linear throttle curve. Tried the throttle travel adjustment but still no arm. Any suggestions to get the Castle esc to arm? Thanks so much Dr Dre'

I like the software for that Rx. Much easier than the AR7210BX with its lights and all.

you lost me at page 2. @2:34 in the video you mention centering position. how do I center servos when they are not powered yet?

Centering Frequency actually. In most cases it will be 1520µs but some servos (Narrow Band) are set to 760µs. This stands for MicroSeconds and is just the frequency that the servo centers at. You should have, or the site you purchased the servo from should have a sheet saying what the frequency is supposed to be set to. As for the Hz's, again, you should have a sheet stating these numbers. If you are not sure, set the Hz to 50 to be safe. www.Rc-Help.com

OK here's the challenge for you, it will not cost you any money. You can go to Frsky website and download the manual for the Horus x12 it has very good pictures. and you can compare the spectrum to the Horus in the Heli set up and tell us how to set up the Horus for the Ikon2

I do wish it was that simple. That would make my job so much easier and cheaper lol. But, with what I know about FRSKY, you will need to run a separate Rx and wire it up with the wires that are included in the gyro kit. Then, in the Tx, just make sure you are on 1 servo 90º or Normal (not sure what it is in that Tx). From there, the setup should be exactly as shown in these videos. You will need to setup some switches if they are not assigned where you want them. But the basic setup is pretty much the same in the gyro as shown. I will try to get my hands on one of these Tx. You are not the first one to ask for videos on that Tx.

With my goblin 500 I can’t get pitch to match for 12-12+ having a hard time with it. Linkages are set to manual.

Hey John, it can be challenging to get the cyclic setup 100% equal. Just take your time and it will get there. 90º the servo arms to the links, level the swash and then set the blades to as close to 0 as you can. Also be sure to have your pitch curve set to linear (0-100) and not in any kind of "normal" mode. www.Rc-Help.com

@@RcHelpDotCom It’s so frustrating all my linkages are set per the manual and the ikon software I been messing with pitch to get correct setting pitch like if I reach 12 then full low throttle it says 6. I tried readjustment of linkages to.

Okay, I think I see the issue. First, set everything up at mid stick and don't worry about the overall collective pitch number. Just make positive and negative the same. Once you are teh same everywhere (0 mid stick), then go into your swash settings and raise the swash range. This will vary depending on your Tx on where it is. But there should be a collective mix that you can raise or lower to get more pitch out of the collective.
