    Nice job, we are going to look into this idea for a TV stand. I’d like to add that pre drilling the holes at 16” on center so they line up with the studs. Hope that helps other diy’ers.

    right before hanging it to float....how did you know where to predrill in the location the studs would be?

  • @TheRehabLife

    @TheRehabLife

    5 жыл бұрын

    We marked out the studs and then place the shelf along the wall in the location we wanted it. The studs run top to bottom in the wall so you can match up where the studs will be and drill through the back of your shelf. Hope this helps!

    It all looks great, but why don't you use assembly glue instead of screws? First, it's faster and you can't see the screws. So don't break wood. I've never used a screw, I always work with assembly adhesive and it holds great greetings from Germany

    Great for under sunroom windows. We will float all of ours so we won’t have them on the floor to get dinged up. This is a way better idea , but we would need doors to cover the square holes from dust, dog pet hair, etc. great job! Stealing this idea for our sunroom, unless building the boxes is less expensive than buying ikea boxes?? We will see.
