Ғылым және технология
Showing an Ikea GALANT A-leg with a stuck height adjustment mechanism. It did function properly initially. Broken leg bought years ago.

Why would you make a video with no sound, no instruction. Is that really helpful or wise??
It worked! Thank you ! For those of you who don’t get it, pause, replay and pay attention to the adjustment made in 12 second to 15 second markers. It takes finessing. Rotate that black collar as pictured. Push the bottom leg back into top leg. It should have resistance. Once it’s in, the legs will now be adjustable as per original instructions. #ikea #gallante #adjustableheighttable

While I really struggled to understand how to make the adjustment based on the video, T A's insight to focus on the 12-15 second section of the video was key. You need to take the bottom of the leg out and twist the top collar down toward the base. Place it back in when it JUST goes in, and then tighten. Tightening bring the collar toward the base of the leg.

Man, I love you.
You have no idea how much this just helped me! Thank you SO much!
Not for sure what it’s called but the thing inside of the leg is stuck and can’t get it out
I have this problem. Do you know what I can do?
Thank you this worked but would of loved some instructions
Easiest fix, buy and Olvo leg and use the insert in the Galant. Same size 👍🏿
Thanks...Olov legs lock problem is fixed
Why a VIDEO with no sound?!
same problem here..
😂🎉you all, specially the coments saved my life. For anyone still lost, pull from the extended piece until you get it out, then rotate the interior piece and then put it back in . It will work but you might to pull it back out to re adjust it in the future
I just bought this table, but figured I would just buy some dowels that is 1/16" bigger than the circumference and call it a day. I use this table to cut fabric and patterns on. I only paid $30.00. And because it at least has a stopping point at the base, a dowel will work. The only other option I have at this moment is to use sport bandages to cause friction and jimmy it up in there. Hope this works.
Okay but mine just slides back in with slightest touch
omg exactly my problem!!

Doesn't work.
just had similar issue. The most reliable way to fix it is the brute force
