I did comp science 25 years ago from presitigious JU and gave everything for my son for his admission,but landed to NIT comp science. Can not blame the systembut need to improve current situation further ,that is life

technically he is, he created only IITs to get away with his responsibilities of establishing quality education system, which includes primary education, high school etc. so he couldn't establishing a system around schooling so he chose a simple of route of establishing an IIT.. i think he created only 5 IITs to educate crores of indians .. not only this he and his daughter ensured that corruption seeps through the Indian systems

I am from IIT kanpur, here is my point of view. First of all after coming to IIT now a days, people indulge in all kind of things whether making multiple gfs, doing alcohol and weed, roaming campus, watching lot of porn, going to whole country for adventure. Some also go into depression and so many other things and hence they do not know things well. Somehow they pass the exams and they lack a lot of professional knowledge. Other than that many IIT professors are not helpful, they are just interested in making money through projects and companies and they care less about students. I think its students mistake first that they forgot that studying in IIT is much more difficult then cracking IIT, if one has that in his mind he does get a good job.

@@purely.logical first get into IIT the see what's going inside, everyone doing very differently, a person with 13000 rank outperforms 600 rank, and is almost department topper. A student with 700 rank is depressed, and lost hope, still he is trying everyday to improve. Everyone is trying their best. Don't judge without knowing anything.

That doesn’t mean those ppl didn’t work hard to get in iit. Iit he is very competitive exam. Lakhs of ppl write each year and there are hardly thousands of seats. Moreover, sc st obc students are higher in population too compared to general merit.

@@eternallightoftruth see i am not from any iit nor i am a sc/st student,,, but one of my elder cousin is from iit bombay(2021 grad) and he told me that those who come with sc/st/obc-ncl/ews quota suffer in there academics but the thing is that right from the first week,, every students in there respective department have to give same exams and assignments every single year/semester/months/weekly quiz are there with no more category cutoff thus those who can't go through this they have to repeat the year and because of this tough competition and students leave there degree in between out of which 50% are from unreserved cat,,, and those who are able to pass all test exams semester quizes and every single thing finally sit for the placements and at that time it doesn't mater your category whether you are reserved student or unreserved,, if you reached at that point out the toughest competition you are already too much qualified for the jobs and all,,,, but its true that global layoffs are going on in it sector and ai is becoming more dominant ,,, and its fake news that 38 % are unplaced ,, because may gets for startups/ppo's/higher studies/off campus placements and after that only 5-6% will be unplaced,,, but that's also a big number considering its the iit's

Bhai mano na mano pr reservation is real ans Aaj iit bhi apne bahut se online course khol rha h jo koi bhi normal bacha jo iit se nhi h woh bhi access krskta h, skill sbke paas aarhi h, isliye ab iit ke baahr bhi achi skills waale bache bdh gye h, pr naukri sirf kuch certain sectors like electronics, communication and maths computing and robotics mai bdh rhi h , robotics woh course h jiska naam kisi ne aaj se 5 saal phele suna bhi na hoga kyuki yeh introduce hi 2022 mai hua h Reservation 50 percent h, but i agree us 50 percent mai bhi aana muskil h, pr jitna genral waale aur non creamy layer waale obc apne aap ko rgrte h utna koi aur nhi rgrta prepration mai

Exactly...from my personal experience I can say , ndtv is reporting this without proper research....last year , I was on a plane from odisha to jodhpur...one of my co passenger was from odisha and studying in IIT jodhpur...he said that ,the students with bright records in their semester often get selected with 60 lakh to 90 lakh salary bracket...those who have got back papers in semesters, they usually get selected in second or third round of counseling....No one gets unemployed at IIT LEVEL...

At least 50% students from IIT are mediocre in my experience. 2020 was the starting year when 70% seats have effectively been reserved. 2023-24 was the year these students would be sitting for placements. I would believe the 38% unplaced figure even if there was no market downturn. At the end of the day, nobody can beat hard merit.

Ab sochne waali baat ye hai ki ek company me badi post pe jiski salary high hai wo ek hi hoga jabki 30 se 50k waale bahot zyada honge. To ab logical hai high salary waali job sirf usiko milegi jiske paas extraordinary talent hai. Har kisi ko nahi milegi. Aur shaayad logon ko pata nahi hai lekin ye high salary waalon ki koi zindagi nahi hoti, ye log jab kisi function me jaate hai wahaan bhi ye phone pe lage rehte hai, ye company waale inko kahin akela nahi chhodte. Fir aisi job ka kya faayada jisme paisa bahot hai, mehengi car, gahr aap le sakte ho lekin zindagi kutte se bhi badtar ho jaati hai, aur badle me patni bhi chhod kar jaati hai aur Alimony ke naam par karodo maangti hai.

Nexus of Coaching institutes at Kota is most probably involved in this. There are a huge number of.students taking coaching at Kota. Jab ek jagah jada pani ekatha ho jata hai to pani ganda ho jata jai aur wo pani pi ne ke laiyak nahi rehta...

Main reason is reservation, lack of skills, low marks in semester wise kyunki students ko lagta hai iit jake life set hai aur isme bhi government ko blame kr rhe hi 😂

Naukri to unko mil jayegi lekin vo log kam package pe kam nahi karenge.

Kuch bhi jhoot faila rahe hain Mera bhai iit mai hai Woh bola ki 90% baccho ko Naukri 3rd year mai hi mil jaati hain . Baki ke startup khol delte hain. Ab wo chalega ki nahi unki jimmedari hain.

this is happening because iits are demanding very high packages for their students from companies even for average students and also for reserve category students..earlier the average package used to less than 10 lakhs....now it has drastically increased making it difficult for the companies to hire evry year...hence companies are opting out of placements..students who did not get placed may be are from branches which are not so demanding..IITs don't allow companies to hire if they don't offer beyond certain salary and hence i think situation will improve if they start allowing companies to hire who offer less packages...

Finally someone accepted that😢

I am in 11th standard, it's been 2 months of my jee preparation. I am a NRI student and can afford to study abroad with scholarship. After seeing this news, I am looking forward to leave my jee preparation. Bhai jab job hi nahi mil rahi graduation ke baad... Toh phir kyu itna zyada mehnat karna? Better just focus on boards and go to a good private college. That's it!

You don`t have to go to IIT just for a white collar job. Why become an IITian just for a job ? Where is the spirit and respect for entreprenuership & hardcore engineering ? What is stopping an IITian to set up a garage for EVs & Hybrids ? What is stopping an IITan to setup a Drone workshop or Solar rooftops ? Hell , you can even make a better blend of Tea or some beverage & make a business out of it...... . .. There can be n no. of ideas . ................ But no........ Just finding a job of good "Package" seems easier & comitting suicide by getting disappointed is even more easier.

AI based automation is going to eat all the jobs. First, it was that only manual jobs could be automated, so people moved to office/cerebral jobs. Now, cerebral jobs are being automated with AI. What else is there? It's not about what you can do anymore, it's just about who you are - how good you look and can sell yourself. Procreation and smell based economy is the future, since AI can't smell yet.
