The embedding of tissue into paraffin blocks supports its structure and allows very fine sections to be cut and mounted onto microscope slides. This video demonstrates the process of immunohistochemistry (IHC) where paraffin sections are labeled with a variety of antibodies and stains to reveal the molecular architecture of the tissue.

This video is absolutely undescriptive. It would be nice if you mentioned what dewaxing agent you used as well as what are the exact concentrations of decreasing ethanol.

Hi there. This video shows only the main steps of an IHC experiment and doesn’t cover tissue processing. If you would like to see more about dewaxing, please visit: www.abcam.com/protocols/ihc-deparaffinization-protocol. For more resources, you can also visit this page: www.abcam.com/protocols/ihc-for-paraffin-embedded-sections. We hope this helps! Regards, Abcam’s IHC Team
