Helle about Dunes:
“We continue telling the story of the amazing Ukrainian travel writer and photographer Sofia Yablonska who lived in the XX century. “Dunes" is inspired by her adventure to the Sahara Desert.
On this dangerous journey, Sofia’s driver fainted from the intense heat, so she had to take charge of driving and also fix the overheated engine herself. Their troubles didn't end there, as they also had to escape from hostile locals who tried to shoot them.
Our song describes how Sofia saw a mirage, so common for the desert. In our version, instead of imagining palm trees and oasis, she saw the chilly Carpathian mountains with pine trees and rainfalls...”

When I saw the preview for the music video, prior to release, I thought that was a different woman. Helle straight fucks. Call me bonehead because she's fucking me right in the eyes and ears... apparently kids at the local school are having ear sex in lou if traditional sex(from family guy) lol... ahhh i love french... it's the language of loveeee ;)

Today Ukraine killed more innocents civilians, this time with the "bunch missiles" (racimo) wich they said were onle for the military. Again, shame on you, proud ukranians, corrupt, genocide, nazis... Stop promoting yourself trying to take advantage of being ukranian, its a shame ;) I know you need marketing to earn more than you deserve, but come on...

Ignea is consistently awesome. They always have a fantastic balance of growls, clean vocals, instrumental parts, and heavy & slow parts
I love the soft beautiful vocals and the screams and growls.... absolutely phenomenal music, just overall amazing band with a unique sound. I Love it!!!

Helle's voice is like a comforting pillow, that then punches your nose !. Ignea - one of the best bands in recent years, who deserve more success than they currently get........it will come.

It does seem like she is getting better every album she is quickly becoming one of the better female metal duo vocalists and this is probably the best song the band has ever had also hopefully the album does well so they can keep getting better and better

To me, her growls have been perfect since 2017. I'd not say they're "better" perse, but they are noticeably deeper in this album.
Just replaying again and again. I can’t get out of this. Anger and hope together, this so intense. 🥺🤘🖤🙏🇺🇦

I just love Ignea a lot... They were formed as Parallax in 2011, if I'm not wrong

Love and major KUDOS from a Patreon sub in the US! Everyone watching this - y'all are really missing out if you aren't subscribed! Ignea really draws folks into their process and their struggles and the beauty they manage to find around them even in the midst of war. But they've been one of the undiscovered gems of melodic metal for a long while now. Dare anyone to watch the music video for Alga and not have their brain completely reordered and reset. I think Dunes is a great teaser for the upcoming album! Loving the contrasts of the underground and the hilltop, the claustrophobic pressure and the wild ( and maybe dangerous dance in the woods?) Can't wait for April 28th!!!!

Wow! This is incredible. First off, Dunes is a good song thanks to IGNEA! Lyrics of the song sure got us hooked indeed. The men did great (Drumming, Guitar, Bass, etc.). Helle did great with her vocals! The crew did a good job making the video, and they deserved round of applauses 👏 Way to go! And thank you for uploading their music video!

One of my favourite bands, period... neck and neck with Epica! And their competing for my attention with other bands like Delain (with Charlotte Wessels), Kamelot, Nightwish, Ad Infinitum, Amorphis, etc. Ignea are right up there with the greats. No flies on this lot!
