I was fortunate to have a conversation with Iggy and his girlfriend for about 45 minutes, just us three in 2001. They were so polite, sincerely interested in my life and very hospitable. I learned in my professional life as a hotel receptionist that these iconic stars, when they’re want to give you their time, they don’t want to talk much about themselves and become more curious of who you are. He had just given a performance that evening but still gave time to me, while they were eating their late dinner. What nice people they were ❤️❤️

That’s great that he was a class act, celebs like him who get huge very young always have a bad rep like where the saying “don’t meet ur heroes” applies to like being rude, entitled and inconsiderate of others so it’s nice to hear that he didn’t let the fame go to his head. So I’m guessing u were a hotel receptionist at a very nice hotel when u met him, do u have any other stories of other celebs staying there?

Bought a 3 dollar ticket to see Iggy n Stooges with 3 other bands at a High School gymnasium in Dearborn Heights, Michigan,I think 1969. Sat cross legged on floor up close to stage. Shortly after Iggy smashed a champagne bottle on the mic stand he spit a big loogie into the audience. I looked down and saw it landed on my show. That is my brush with rock n roll greatness.

The man sitting talking on that stage, perhaps looking like he'd rather be at home taking a nap after a quick nip - he actually released an album this year - 2023, that rocks as hard as anything he did when he was 1/3 or 1/4th his current age. It leads with a song called "Frenzy," and that spectacle, Iggy The Stage Presence Ready To Explode, Iggy the Frenzy - is still very much a thing in 2023. Quite Amazing.

iggy will always remind me of nordic god. either odin or old thor. not only bcuz of his whole vibe (especially when he went like half blonde) but bcuz of voice, hairstyle, mysticism surrounding him, strange aura and that humor twang here and there. its probably bcuz his mom is scandinavian and he has irish and scandinavian blood in him.
