Igbo Personal Pronouns: 1st Person, 2nd Person, 3rd Person √ Singular-Plural
wa.me/message/S6OPDXMGUZHBB1
This is an introduction to Igbo personal pronouns known in Igbo as “Nnochi Aha” which literally means “name replacements”.
Just as we have it in English, we have the first person, second person, and third person pronouns in Igbo.
They are in two main groups; those that are used to replace the subject of the sentence and those that are used to replace the object of the sentence.
The Igbo personal pronouns are 11 in number. They can be singular or plural. They are:
Singular Plural
1st Person: M---- I Anyị---- We, Us
Mụ---- Me
2nd Person: I,Ị---- You Unu---- You (Plural)
3rd Person: O,Ọ Ha---- They, Them
We will go into detail for each of these in our next videos.
