Yeah the greek word is "arithmos" but occasionally we may informally use the word "numero" as well. We mostly use it for sizes, e.g. number of shoes

Well, german also has a second way of saying "number" which is "Zahl", tho it is used to refer to singular numbers and not those arranged in like a telephone number

In Jordan we say نمرة numra when we talk about clothing size or car number , in some other Arab countries they say نمرة numra for telephone number .

The Greek word arithmós shall not be strange to Brazil. Aritmética is Portuguese for the part of Mathematics about basic calculation.
Well, german also has a second way of saying "number" which is "Zahl", tho it is used to refer to singular numbers and not those arranged in like a telephone number
