I really would like to see someone embrace the concealed carry/IWB market and bring a better on the back inside waistband medical kit that someone could wear everyday. I am aware of Velocity Systems STAMP, Guerilla Tactical Med Kit, and Immediate Casuality Care Tuckable IFak however none of them offer a good cover with a pull tab attached for ease of use.

That cover is critical. Stopped wearing the ICC, it's horrible to have the packaging folds stab you every time you move .Same with ankle rigs.

I have been looking for the same solution for years. I eventually sewed my on kit almost identically to the med sled. I just tuck it between my back and my belt. With all of the friction it has stayed in place during full day range sessions very well. I have wanted to find a way to attached the insert to my waste band more securely but I have figure that out yet. I have thought of using the med sled with the GBRS med pouch. There pouch is very slim but would have the same issues of trying to attach for IWB. The med sled is by far the best insert solution I have seen so far. Thank you for the great design!

Ngl I think making your own gear, or jury rigging something that works using smaller premade pouches is easy enouth. Doesn't need to be overcomplicated. Off the top of my head Varustalaka make an IFAK insert designed to be put into magazine pouches, just figure out a way to mount a pouch sideways and that's a fairly easy way to go about it. Rigging together webbing, triglides, shock cord, and buckles is an even cheaper way to do it. Just gotta get crafty :)

Awesome video per usual. I love the way Adam holds the med sled. He holds it like a clutch or purse 👛. All joking aside, looks like a great setup. 🍺🫵🤟🇨🇦🫡🇺🇸🤟🫵🍺

Placing the IFAK insert into your medium GP pouch is fine however there is no identifying markings on the exterior to indicate that pouch is in fact an IFAK. As you know in a critical care scenario it’s of the upmost importance for any first responder to identity and locate the IFAK on a wounded person without having to search thru several regular GP pouches on your kit because it’s not properly marked. Just an observation. Great design though and I’m behind the insert itself.

@@MA-hc6mbsure are. But these items are sold to mainly to the general public who aren’t in a unit and don’t have SOP’s. Civilians should understand that if they are gonna wear kit for training or self defense or whatever then their IFAK gear needs to be readily identifiable. That’s all I’m saying.

I dont know the price but the insert that comes with an ifak is 15 bucks and it has a lanyard that attachesit to your body so if need to be moved your med stays with you. I got one from Counting Coupes video he did with spiritus. To each his own. I am not completely sure in a SHTF scenario stopping the bleeding may just be prolonging the agony. Say your shot in the gut/liver or maybr side of your right lung and people are able to stabilize you without a very quick evac with an hour and a hosptal with a surgeon your gonna die. I would rather die quick personally and be with god.

  • @paddyc93

People don't die quick like the movies... My last GSW I attended took a round directly to the chest, small cal, we didn't get to him for over an hour and he had received no first aid prior, and he wasn't seeing a surgeon till over 2 hours post injury. He had a myriad of comorbidities and was of older age, he was discharged from hospital 2 weeks after incident. I have been to another young man who took 3 rounds of 7.62x39 to the belly, who did not see first aid till the 8th hour, surgeon quite fast after that, he survived without much trouble... Belly wounds don't tend to bleed that much, and the wounds that do bleed if you stop them ie. junctions and limbs have great survivability. Ukraine has demonstrated this time and time again. Med is just as important as your ability to win a gun fight, and you can't do good med without the tools...
