I prefer to learn about Africa from Africans. Less of an insult than seeing it through the eyes of people who look down on you. They will always find a way to subtly insult you..... I am talking about most documentaries about Sub-Saharan Africa done by the BBC etc.

I would really love to watch this video without the english translation.Anyhow,a subtitle in English wouldn't be bad,but I believe this is mainly meant for the Yoruba and secondarily for whosoever wish to know more about Ifa.Pls,let's watch and listen to the so-called poem in the original language,at least Arabic is the language of Islam.Don't ridicule this fantastic video, the English people are not even interested.

What does the Yoruba practice on the dead of individuals.... I understood the spirit worlds.... However, The Yorubas do not interact with the dead like the Muslims nor like the christian.Would you enlighten me

Juwe in a way I think Yoruba interacts with the dead such that if the dead was suspected to have been killed , there are things the priest does to communicate with the dead who will expose whoever killed him or her . Just as you have in The bible book of Samuel 1 : 28 verse 2-25 where Saul consulted Samuel through a medium. But this practise will of course be demonized by Christians lol.

From what I’ve learned so far, there is a way to communicate with your ancestors, by developing a specific altar and consulting a babalawo
