Oops, I can't believe I missed that :P Thanks for letting me know, and I fixed the link! I guess that looked very similar to what I bought (now out of stock) so I didn't even catch the difference.

My adapter should be arriving soon!

The only reason i kinda want a ti 84 ce is for plage inc but all ready have two ti 84+ that have all i want and i love the monocrome screen

You can plug it into your computer and move files in, then plug it into your calculator to access them there.

I have two problems: 1. How can I run games such as ones I download off of Cemetech? They show up as folders in the Cesium menu and I cannot run them. 2. When I do run a program that's not a folder, it does not run.

@@TInyHackerCalcs What types of programs/games can I run from a usb? I've tested out three programs: Mario (Cemetech) - froze my calculator Tetris (Calcplex) - program did not open Mathtool (Calcplex) - program opened but past that the functions within the program did not work. Arrow keys + any other buttons did not work to help navigate the program.

@@eschecd You need to have the sub-files of the program on the calculator, like appvars. Only the main should be on the USB drive.

I do tech support it sounds like you might have the zips copied over without unzipping them perhaps. Unzip the field and there will be the ones with extensions copy those over in ce connect. Then inside of cesium you will see the apps as icons and not folders

You have to have all the appvars on the calculator. Only programs can run from the USB drive, but if they need appvars they have to go on the calc.

Subfiles cannot be stored on the flash drive, only main programs. So you can put the TI-Boy CE program on the flash drive, but the ROM files need to be on the calculator.

when i download pokemon on my calc it keeps saying error: need 6903 more bytes free ram, any fix to it?

The only files you can load from the flash drive (Right now) are .8xps. If you have .8xv appvar files, they need to be on the physical calculator.

@@Joe-bw1eq Sadly not right now. You should store your other programs on the drive and keep the things which have to be on the calculator on it (like the ROMs).

@@Joe-bw1eq You can just reset the calculator with the button on the back. I tested the programs and everything works on my calculator. Make sure that you are following the instruction stuff in the Cesium readme if you are still having trouble.

TiCalc.org version is also kept up to date.

Is the port Mini-A, Micro-B, UC-E6, Mini-B or other? Really looks EC-E6 to me because its higher than a Micro-B. I sadly lost the original cable.

It says my flash drive needs lid load and “fatDruce/ usbDruce library” from a website

You have to download the USB Libraries and send them to the calculator. There should be a download link in the description. :)

Thank you for your last help with the usb, Although when i click transfer file in the usb, the tl84 plus ce crashed and resets all ram, including all programs i have except Tl84BOY, Is there a way i could fix this?

Hmm, that's really weird. It could be some sort of bug in the program (since I know it worked for me, but I think there's been an update recently). Does it work to do anything besides transfering?

@@TInyHackerCalcs When i opened the calculator and installed Oregon trail on my usb. I transfered it to my Tl84+CE and suddenly, my Tl84+CE crashed. i reopend and click on usb icon. When it opened, it was a glitch version of homescreen. So i decide to delete oregon trail since that is maybe the cause of the glitch. when i clicked on the usb icon again, it disconnects and clear ram. I forgot to pick save ram so all programs except Tl84+CE disappeared.

@@nopemasu It's odd that the transfer files thing isn't working properly. If everything else is working, you should probably make a post here ceme.tech/t11995 to ask Mateo (the creator of Cesium) if he's aware of the problem. Since I haven't ever had that problem before, I'm not sure what to do, but he might know.

@@nopemasu You have to enable it in the Cesium settings by pressing mode and selecting it. If it's on the second screen use the arrow keys to move.

Is there a limit to the memory I can use from the flash drive? Any downsides with performance? It seems too good to be true that I can theoretically add 32 gigs to my archive memory just like that.

The only downside is that if you want to run a program which has subprograms or subfiles, only the main program can be on the flashdrive when you run it. It also takes a little bit longer to initially launch a program, but once the program is running there's no performance difference at all.

@@TInyHackerCalcs Would it be practical to put all files on the drive, and when I wanna play pokemon (A 700KB game, which is heavy for the TI 84 Plus CE), just move the entire game data onto the calculator archive, then return it when done? Is it something that can be done in the Cesium OS?

@@that_kai_person You can only transfer from the USB drive if I remember correctly. However, the copy on the USB drive is not deleted when copying to the calculator, so it would work fine to transfer the files to the calculator and delete them from the calculator when you're done, and the originals will remain on the drive so you can copy them again in the future when you need.

@@that_kai_person Sorry for the late response, I've been on the road the past two days and just saw this now. What I was referred to earlier is that it seems Cesium only supports transferring files from the USB drive to the calculator, and not vice versa. However, the save appvars for TIBoy games are not that big compared to the entire ROM (which I don't think ever changes?), so you could just delete the ROM files off your calculator and keep the save files, then copy the ROM files back from the drive when you want to play again.

Is there a USB drive formatted for Fat32 that you recommend ?

Most USB drives won't come FAT32 formatted, so you'll need to format it yourself. Formatting is pretty easy though. I'd personally recommend almost any cheap USB drive you can get your hands on!

AppVars aren't recognized on the USB drive, only programs. So you can put the TI-Boy CE program on the drive and run it, but the AppVars have to be on the calculator.

is their also a way to increas the the storage of the calculator it self couse it wont read roms on the flash drive or add a sd card?

For some reason whenever I connect my formatted fat32 usb drive into my calculator it will not work (I have artifice and all that stuff I already have a few games I just want more storage)

Sorry to hear you're having trouble! What's the model of your USB drive? I'm assuming that when you open it in Cesium it's just giving you a "No devices found" error?

i formatted the drive to fat32 and installed CE C. and when i ty to open the drive on cesium it says "Please insert a FAT32 formatted drive" which i did and its connected firmly.

@@TInyHackerCalcs Yeah you were right, when i tried another usb drive i had, specifically a SanDisk Cruzer Glide USB Flash Drive. that time cesium could access it and i could run programs from it.

Is it possible to transfer files from the calculator to the usb drive?

The calculator is only able to read a USB drive formatted FAT32 because the CE C toolchain libraries do not support any other different formats.

@@mementary32 No, it's my fault for not explaining it clearer. Save the game on the USB drive, and if you have other files that are needed by the game (extra programs or .8xv files), you have to send them to the calculator for now. Here's a little guide thing: On USB: Main Game program, e.g. Oiram CE (a mario clone by MateoConLechuga) On Calculator: The levels for the game, and the extra .8xv files.

Pokemon Emerald cannot run on this calculator :( You can run Pokemon Gold or Silver though. Pokemon Emerald will only work on the newer TI-Nspires.

i have already installed the games, but right after i installed a new game the other games now say " ERROR: Memory" memory is insufficent to preform the calculation. check infinte recursions or loops. EX: Y1=Y1". PLS HELP MEEEEE

You probably need to try archiving some programs. You can press 2nd + Memory and then archive the programs from there.

It's a little confusing, but you don't. What you need to do is download the C Libraries (Use the google drive link for now) and just send those to your calculator. Then it should work.

@@ocopaco5634 You have to open it with Cabri Jr., and then use it to install Cesium. I believe that TheLastMillennial may have made a tutorial on how to do this.

This only works for the programs, not app variables. So you can move your programs there, but keep the Appvars on the calculator and then it will work.

@@dewaki7568 I've never heard of msddruce, are you sure that's what it says? You should need the normal clibs as well as ubsdrvce and fatdrvce.
