Does the pen work other than the air gasture does it show the highlight pointer on the screen and is the pen tip of plastic or rubber.

I too ordered a note 9 from eBay and cannot connect my pen. I too received a fake pen! I contacted the seller to see if I could get a real one, but giving fakes may be something they intentionally do to keep cost down. You helped another person, thanks!

I don't know if I mentioned this in the video, but I learned that the seller I bought mine from has another eBay listing where he sells genuine S Pens which he says were taken from phones. It looks like he buys these Galaxy Note phones, takes out the real S Pen and replaces it with a fake S Pen, and then sells the real S Pens separately. The thing is, he's selling the real S Pens for a remarkably low price. About the same as a fake one costs. Did the seller you bought from agree to give you a real S Pen?

The fake S Pen I got is pretty good. Maybe yours is too. If the Bluetooth features of the real S Pen aren't needed, then a fake S Pen is fine in my opinion.

If you are getting this message "S Pen disconnected" and "Tap here to connect it again" it is highly likely you have the WRONG S Pen for your phone... Not all if any previous version S-Pens are compatible with NOTE 10 phones... Some functionality may work, but for whatever reason, air gestures and initiating the camera apparently will not. Moreover, you will continue to get the error message above no matter how many times you reset/inactivate then activate the S Pen setting... So, what I do not know is how one can tell all the previous versions apart from just the model S Pen that will work with the NOTE 10??? So just because someone is selling an S Pen stylus that looks like the S Pen for a NOTE 10, doesn't necessarily mean that it actually is... It's highly likely they themselves don't realize that previous versions of S Pens are in fact somewhat different internally and not 100% compatible with the NOTE10...

Does the fake S Pen tip has movement? I mean, I suppose the authentic one would not move as you press it on the screen but would still accurately register the amount of pressure. I was checking-out a Note 9 that I planned to buy last week, but the Pen's tip is bouncing, and that's the pressure sensor. But even not having seen the authentic Pen, I knew it was not legit as it was very uncomfortable to actually draw with it.

My replacement pen I just got from Amazon doesnt have a serial number but does have the Bluetooth air command features working. And the tip seems pretty stiff, so wondering if I got a fancy knock off 🤔. I have a couple of working originals, but am having the hardest time finding replacement nibs. Even Samsung themselves are out of the OEM Note 9 S pens. I may have the replacement nibs somewhere but no luck finding so far 🤞

Damn! So many questions now,lol. I just bought a "Brand New Note 9" from ebay a cpl of days ago, it arrived today. I was super happy when I opened it. Appears to be just that, a brand new phone. Had all the original packaging, cling wraps on phone and accessories, all seems legit. Then I powered it up and am running through it's initial setup and when I get to the S-pen setup, I discover that no matter What I try, it will Not connect. So, I start googling and youtubing to find a solution. Saw all of the vid's you displayed as well. Then, stumbled across yours. My pen looks differently than Both of your examples! Arghhh, I'm getting more frustrated by the moment, hehe. Mine doesn't have a serial number at all, simply says china. However, I see that the Real one you have has a white tip and the fake has a black tip.Mine too has a white tip. I suppose I have to get in contact with my seller too now. That's craptastic!! My question is...how can I have received a legit phone with a Fake pen? Now I have to investigate if the phone isn't nonsense too? Or did the seller just pull some total BS and swap pens on me{you}? Ah man, from pure joy to frustration in an instant. What A Bummer :(

The note 9 won't connect to a fake S-pen because the fake S-pens aren't Bluetooth enabled.

I got a fake S pen for my Note 9. It wasn't really long at all when I noticed that I got a fake S Pen because I was able to tell right away. My fake one had different plastic, bigger Samsung logo, a harder fine tip, and could barely be visible inside my Note 9 and it didn't even connect. I then realized that same time that I bought an "Un-branded" S pen. I wasted $10.00 USD. I ordered another with the real S Pen. I HOPE I get a real one.

Well if you ordered from eBay or Amazon and the seller said it's an oem S-Pen, then those sites will treat you pretty well if you want a refund. I hope you get a real S Pen.

I don't have any immediate answers. Before I find mine was fake I encountered many troubleshooting steps on various web sites for real S-pens that went connect. Some of these things included resetting the S-pen or clearing certain caches.

I knew right off my S Pen was fake I contacted the seller because it is a refurbished phone the phone is in good condition the S Pen don't have a logo it don't have a serial number I have a note 9 and my note 9 is pen works on my Note 20 Ultra so I just broke the S Pen open it's just a shell he's going to send me another one I'm going to send back the phone

my new S pen just came to day from Amazon for 19.00 with Bluetooth fortunately all is well ser# is there but tiny my old clicker came off and got lost

I definitely have fake. I got a new phone that came with a broken pen. Bought a new one and it doesn't even say Samsung on it.

I have a fake pen and an original Samsung pen and the fake one writes every bit as good as the original. The only feature it doesn't have is the ability to control the camera with the pen button, but I never use that feature.

What about the Note 8?
