My once feral cat, Mama Kitty, was a lifesaver to me. I had double Pneumonia, she awakened my mother who called my aunt. They took me to the hospital. Recall telling the doctor while on the examining table, I had a touch of Pneumonia. He gave me oxygen, felt wonderful. I awakened a day later in a hospital room. My fever lasted a long time. Finally went home. My mother told me Mama kitty never left my bed while I was away. She never left my side and was a one person cat. My best friend for the rest of her life. She had had kittens, and before her kittens were were ready to be adopted, got pregnant again. I had her spayed and she turned to me, with her motherly instincts. The Vet said she was a senior cat, but she spent 10 great years as my special friend. She loved cheese. I taught her to stand on 2 feet and spin around, then she would get her cheese. When she wanted cheese, that is what she would do.

My Persian Cat saved my life twice! Once i had an atrial Fibrillation attack in my sleep, and he woke me, which enabled me to get help. Another time, I e was suffering from an Adrenal crisis, and he again woke me, allowing me to get to the hospital and survive. I had helped him when his mother was having trouble bringing him into the world, and I believe he remembers this! He's my buddy, and I owe my life to him, as he does me. Smartest cat I've ever seen!

Whenever the tornado alarm goes off, I look over at the cats. If they're upset, we go to the cellar. If not, I go back to sleep.

Nine years ago, the 2 cats i had then ( my first 2 cats) did something wonderful for me. I got out of bed and was walking into the living room and i fell, and was briefly knocked out. I was lying on the floor and when i regained consciousness, my 2 boys were sort of pushing themselves into me. I believe they were trying to wake me up. They never left my side, and one of them was licking me, also to try to wake me, i think. They were my 2 best friends.

Baxter starts seeking one of his Safe Spots 3 or 4 hours ahead of a storm. this is like clockwork--he flattens his ears and scuttles down the hall, and 2 hours later the NWS storm/tornado alert goes off. just before the earthquake that cracked the washington monument hit, our cat ghosted. this is real stuff. good vid!

Cats are magic. I was partly raised and tought by my brother, a Siamese Cat. Love. Forever to each cat I was allowed to live with. Cats would help you with attention and purring and being near you if you treat them with love and respect on eyesight level. Cats are my family and will always be. I love all of the ones I lived with forever and with my deepest and highest love my soul could give and share. I'd better never meet someone hurting a cat out of "fun" or whatever. Better said: Such a person should never meet me in real life. As a child I was very afraid of dogs. Now I love them as all natural beings but it took long to get over my fear until I got to know some very gentle dogs I also will love forever. It must have something to do with Edi "raising me" as a Baby and small child because he was free roaming outside and I would guess that he at some point had got into some trouble with dogs/a dog. Now I treat or try to treat all beings with respect and love. Even spiders although I am phobic when it comes to them but I am actively working on this. It is my fault and not the fault of spiders. I let some smaller ones who want to stay there live in my bathroom and they are very helpful in catching flies and bigger spiders, sometimes they even get yellow jackets. With those ones I still have my problems... . They are just, I don't know... . I love all kind of bees and I am not afraid of them even if they settle down on me. But wasps are getting on my nerves. Hornets are another thing. They are okay and won't do anything if you won't harm them. I even eat less and less flesh and I think about going vegetarian or even vegan for a long time and I am working on this. And: I love cats more than any other beings. I would love to find a female partner again, "the one" but in my relationships so far I haven't been lucky. But I think, it comes as it is meant to be, so I am not actively searching any more.

@@garyssimo That's a beautiful story. Siamese cats are great. (All cats are) Edi, the (old style) Siamese Cat Man I grew up with lived till 22 and I stayed with him in his last moments on this planet and sent all others out of the room while he was leaving this planet. I buried him in our then garden. Half of his life he was free roaming and he even would hunt and get rabbits and good jump for over 2 metres high on the wall of the backyard. At home he always would be absolutely gentle and he never had any fears to see. The relationship was very deep and when he stayed in the apartment later in his life he would often sleep on my pillow and rub his head and nose against mine for hours. He also would recognize when my father came home from work: He recognized the sound of his car from 100 metres away and start meowing. And his meowing was so loud you could hear it from 50 metres away outside (, and we lived on the third floor). His purring was loud and deep and so calming, too. When I was a Teenager and regularly on parties there were girls I sometimes "unsuccesfully" feel in love with and would be very sad when I came home and lay myseld down. Then he always would come, lay tight be my side and comfort me. He was absolutely great. And as I believe in some kind of being after death on planet earth I believe I will see him again. And the three other Cat Men Harry, Pauli and Sunny, too. Edi would even try to teach me how to catch mice when I was a young boy of maybe 5 or 6 years old. I was in the living room and my mother was cleaning the window and had a small ladder. Then Edi came and would bring a mouse living and healthy in the living room to me and let it go. The mouse ran under the living room wardrobe (, I hope the translation is right) and my mother out of fear of the mouse on the top of the ladder screaming... 🤣. Just like in a movie. Edi would sit down in the doorstep and wait and see. He did nothing. He just was looking at me. Of course I then didn't understand. After some time which felt like minutes the mouse would try and run for her life while Edi still calmly sitting there and i standing there where I stood... . The rest of the story is not so nice, for the mouse. They all were and will always be great and my beloved family to me: Edi, Harry, Pauli and Sunny. Have a great day!

When my son was new born (now a man,) a storm blue off a RAT blocker off the roof. Our cat, Meph, suddenly would not !eave the baby when in his crib. Early in the morning I heard him and the cat "fussing" and Checked on them. And from the wall I heard a loud and strong scratching sound, the cat was ready to pounce I grabbed the baby to my husband. But the cat maintained his pounce position eyes on sound. After the roof was fixed he maintained his vigual for 2 weeks. He would also call me when ever the baby/boy wanted me.

I think why cats sleep on your bed is because cats are territorial and consider that bed their turf. Of course they may like the companionship but it's mainly territorial imo.

@@garyssimo She is a Maine Coon, her name is Ezi. About two years ago, our son passed out in the bathroom due to a gas boiler malfunction. He was in danger of asphyxiating with carbon monoxide. Ezi managed to open the door that opened towards her (!) and pulled him out of the infested space with all her might. She dragged our son to the open door. In the process, she badly injured her paws on the rough pavement. Since no one was home, she understood that she needed help. That's why she started running around at home, running, knocking things off the tables to make noise. She had never done this before. Neighbors heard the noise. They thought there was a thief in the apartment. They called our son, but he did not answer. Only Ezi meowed with all her might. Neighbors immediately kicked down the door to the apartment. Ezi immediately ran over and showed what happened. The neighbors immediately opened the windows, pulled our son out and turned off the gas boiler. Ezi stayed with her son until the ambulance arrived, still licking him. She meowed and even cried! Neighbors also called the police. Even the police could not separate Ezi from our son. So she went with him in the ambulance to the hospital, where she waited outside the ICU until we arrived and took her away. And how did she save the life of me and my wife? I'll write next time.
