Am still using it 19th July 2022 and fully functioning well with great full day battery backup.

I remember my grandfather used this exact phone for year and years, until it became a bit too old and we got him a slightly newer one.

Probably connection problem. Try cleaning the socket and reconnecting the flex cable. If it doesn’t work then try getting a new display. If that doesn’t work then your board or the display chip is toast.
