I also will never use VRBO again. The host canceled our reservation an hour before we were supposed to check in and we were stranded without a place to stay. The VRBO agent did help us find another place and told us that they would reimburse us for the extra cost. That was August 3rd. It is now December 12! I've called multiple times and they said it would be coming. Nothing. I emailed and got an auto-responder saying that they don't monitor their inbox anymore. I will be posting negative reviews for them EVERYWHERE!

BEWARE!!! VRBO does nothing if the owner stays on the property you rent. This ad is misleading. As long as there is a separate entrance the owner can stay and VRBO does nothing! I had the owner AND their friend sitting for morning coffee and evening drinks in front of the beach house I'd rented for my 50th. VRBO did nothing, offered nothing and when I finally got a supervisor HOURS into calling they flat out said I was entitled to nothing.
