This is why Outlook rules. I like to be able to click on the column header to sort by that, select all, hit the delete key.

Hi Scott. You mentioned to check your emails twice/thrice a day. How much time do you actually spend on it or do you deal with every single unread email till it's all dealt with? How about an email that needs an action? Do you action it right away and if you don't have time to action it then, what do you do?

Great email questions! Recently, I've decided to reduce my time with email to just once a day. I currently spend 45 minutes getting through my inbox, which gets my email done to zero 95% of the time. Keep in mind, I don't restrict when I can send an email. I certainly send several emails throughout the day. But when it comes to processing and dealing with email, I reserve it for a single power session.

I use Gmail and I've changed the default settings. So all the unread emails are shown on the top section ( Unread), and when read they move to the bottom section (Everything else).

Gmail: is:unread then select all and mark as read. If it's important people will call you. Problem solved :D
