It's because psychopaths (the criminal ones) play up their charms and make themselves look more attractive and approachable. Kinda like staking out a person before they kidnap and hurt their victims.

Nothing is more terrifying than being attracted to that which will kill you. Like a moth to a flame. Something being pretty that's dangerous seems to be a running theme for humans. We like bright colors, even though in nature it usually means it's poisonous/venomous.

Monster was a legit straight up gore fest with moments of intensity. Loved it. Ending was eh. Acting was top notch. The one where the girl had to tell scary stories for the guy to sleep was 🤪🤪 crazy!!
