Kindness to animals was a requirement of the Ottoman empire. There is a branch of their government in Istanbul that consists of vets, etc, to provide veterinary care for the street animals . Amazing

I say this with all my sincerity. I live in Turkey. We are experiencing in 5 years events that another country would experience in 50 years. Terrorist attacks, devastating earthquakes, coups, etc. but nothing happens to Turkey. We overcome all challenges in an interesting and simple way. We believe this is because of our compassion for animals. We treat them well. Because we love both them and God who created them. Cats and dogs pray for us, and God protects us from evil and difficulties. Praise be to Allah, who created it completely and flawlessly.

I was so impressed with the people of Istanbul. They are kind to their stray animals. I’ve never seen so many healthy and relaxed cats roaming about or curled up sleeping in the most unlikely of places.

Fortunately there are many inhabitants of Istanbul, who feed cats even in hard times of high inflation. But animal lovers like Onur and Cansu, who care so much for so many strays are rare. Most of the cats are overfed, no hungry cat is in Istanbul. Cat food also shared with crows, seagulls and other stray animals.

I’ve been watching subscribed to Walter Santi on KZread for 3 yrs. He has 15 yrd cats and 3 house cats. They’re all fed and really cared for and loved. He protects them and medically meets their every need. He is from Istanbul. Love him and what he does for cats 👍🏼🇺🇸
