All's you did was make a more complicated way to neutral dump the trans. A trans brake will apply the reverse and first gear at the same time and then cut flow to the valve body. You let off the button and the valve snapps open and releases reverse. This is more akin to launch control except you could roll through the beams or the line and false start.

@@robsorgdrager8477 I use a 2-step on a Pro-ET drag car and it is much easier on the driveline than a trans-brake. I leave the line at 3,000 rpm, but when I leave, the driveline is already loaded and doesn't get "shocked" the way a trans-brake releases.

Fun fact, say if you wanna footbrake launch at 3000rpm, get a 4000 stall. Also run the 2 step to the brake switch. Hold brake floor it, let off, do a willy

Trans brake engages first and reverse at the same time, allowing you to bring the motor up against the converter so it multiplies torque. When released, it hits the tires hard and unloads the suspension fast so the tires get slammed into the pavement. All this you really did was basically the same thing as holding the rpms with the two step as much as the brakes and converter allow and you can do that with the throttle.

Everyone be ready to comment sooo bad that they don't even take the time to comprehend the topic of the video. He never said the car had a Transbrake or Line lock on it. He showed how to improvise....SMH🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

I use a trans break and a 2 step.. Set the 2 step at 3,400 rpm..I also have my line lock hooked in to the trans break..car will not roll on the break at the line....

A trans break works by putting the transmission in reverse and drive at the same time so the trans is fighting against itself then the transmission cuts fluid pressure to the reverse side and Bobs your auntie Bob is very progressive .
