My interest of becoming a naturopathic doctor is the ability to focus on the holistic view of a person--mind, body, and spirit. I also believe integrative health is the future if healthcare, its mission of effectively treating the whole person, no matter what gender, race, or ethnicity that person may be, and no matter where an effective treatment originated.

Hey! Great Video! After wrestling with this decision for 17 years, I've decided to finally attend a naturopathic medical school. Last year, I saw your video on attending naturopathic medical school, a year later, I'm back at your channel again. This time with a made up mind. With naturopathic medicine, I absolutely love the entire notion of using what source has provided us with to heal. Where do you think the pill pushers get their compounds from? #Nature I looovvveee tranditiobal alchemy, though! Modern conventional medicine isn’t designed to address the root cause of the issue, it’s all about profit and customer retention.

Let me know when you finish school, I need a new doctor who cares about me.😄 I'm currently a freshman environmental science and human health major, I'm hoping to do research and find the root causes for illnesses, which I believe the environment and our diet contribute heavily to genetic mutations. I have a sister who has been very ill with an unknown ailment for years, the only doctors who seemed to care were Naturopathic and one DO; Kaiser doctors let us down, they literally laughed at my sister for being in pain. I've found that Naturopathic doctors really listen and care unlike my experience with traditional doctors.. I honestly love all your video so much! I've always been interested in natural medicine and researched the same things "natural doctors, natural nurses, natural medicine, etc". 😂❤ After I work in the research field for a while, I hope to jump back to school and become a Naturopathic Doctor! I love school and learning how to care for people on another level. You're such an inspiration to me! The fact you care about your future patients and want to find the root causes for their ailments and improve their health naturally without throwing drugs into the mix all the time, like traditional doctors, really speaks to me! I wish we had more doctors like you! Keep up the fantastic work! Much love💖😀

Wow this was so helpful, I am so thankful I found you! And then I came to the comment section and my heart was warmed even more!! I am taking this as a sign to start my journey. I have been stuck for so long. I LOVE your content. I have a question! What was your undergraduate major! Im in my undergraduate sophomore year and majoring in Business administration and I want to get into Naturopathic school but I'm scared I won't be prepared with my major. I know I'll take the perquisites but do you think it's possible to not major in a science related field and become a ND?

Absolutely! People do it all the time. Just make sure you have all the pre-req for the med school you wanna attend. I’d also talk to med school admissions and get their perspective, I did ❤

Following. I have applied for natural medicine course and they tend to go through all the applicants and finalize who made it in, and go in for an interview. This is my calling I think. The only thing that sets me back os you need NCEA level which I dont have because Life gets in the way and I never bothered to apply. If i knew about natural medicine years ago I wouod have applied a long time ago.

I’m really thinking about doing this but I feel like I wasted so much time. I’m making 22 this month and never been to college. If I start now I’ll be in school till I’m 29 or 30 . I wish I knew what a naturopathic doctor was from the start. I’ve been studying herbalism on herbal academy but never even knew what a naturopathic doctor was. I didn’t even know that stuff exist

None of that would affect your acceptance into school. There are people that start at 45. You are so young too, I started at 26. Your timing is perfect. You would never waste time pursuing dreams at any age. Don’t let ’time’ paralyze you. ❤
