Strange how restaurants in non-tipping cultures are able to survive just fine.

"if you put the responsibility of paying employees on the business owners they'd have to adjust prices to accommodate their business" Damn.. that's crazy.. almost like that's how EVERY other business works.

That's so much BS. It's so strange that most of the rest of the world seems to function just fine W/0 tipping.

I am from England. I lived in Chicago for a couple of years. Tipping is a a terrible cultural practice and SO un-American in terms of values.

There’s several restaurants in my city that you don’t tip at. They include it in the price of the food and they are thriving.

That's only true if they continue to choose greed, where I live and all across basically the entire world paying your staff is the standard and they still manage to stay within a price point that their customers are happy with.

And waiters and bartenders would make less because the business would only try and pay them minimum wage and they can make a lot more with tips

TBH I just don't feel all that grateful to waiters/waitresses for doing their job. I don't mind going to the bar to go and order food and drink. To me it is not worth 10% for somebody to bring my meal to my table and check once or twice throughout the meal if there is anything needed. In fact mcdonalds bring your meal to your table.

Nonsense! Who is this guy, and why does anyone care about what he's saying? Go to Europe, Asia, South America... anywhere but here, and they manage, just fine.
