But what if I told you the mob once shoved someone into the trunk of his car ALIVE, and then let him out after several hours, as a stern warning that it’s time to retire?
What do you think that person should do?
They should probably consider themselves lucky and do exactly as they’re told.
But a Chicago-based mobster named Jimmy Catuara begged to differ. He was (allegedly) granted such an opportunity and chose to defy the retirement request. Not surprisingly, his deceased body was found in his car shortly afterward. But in the main cabin, not the trunk.

What happened to him?? Just kidding the FBI knows but can’t prove it. Have you read the Hoffex memo online?? It’s an inter FBI memo. Describes everything they know.
Jimmy the Bomber was semi retired, Al Tocco capo of Chicago Heights and his crew wanted control of the chop shops and Jimmy wouldn't step aside so he was clipped. Sam Annerino was another outfit member who should have gotten the msg. He also was killed.
