The difference between coko climax and keke is CoKo did it in complete chest voice Periodtttt while KeKe did it in a mix register so KeKe is more light while coko is powerful and full both are great renditions

Crazy how the first single she led on got a Grammy nomination. But lelee did do some leads back in the day and they sound amazing. She did a whole song by herself and with faith evans doing some back ground. And she also led on surprise me and mystery. But it’s funny because she actually had a song on the first album that she did with Brian Morgan but wasn’t confident in her vocals enough so they scrapped it.

They made Auntie Patti proud with this one.

Kekes riffs are crisp. But Cherly Cokos Riffs are powerful and 💪 and genuine. One of the BEST singers of all time. Grew up on SWV. MY favorite girl groups. Killed it back in the Day. Coko know she can sing Patti Labelle Classic " Only If Knew" I love!!! SWV theses ladies can still sing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Coko runs and high notes are phenomenal!!!!!!!

The crazy part about both Coko & KeKe is that it seems so effortless. However, Coko's swag makes u realize we have probably never seen her sing her best. We've seen KeKe's best but for some reason u can tell Coko applies pressure and got bout 30% more in the tank.

The funny thing is this. People keep saying that Coko did too much leading and they wish they allowed the others to because they have good voices too. It's true they do. However if you watch the show you'll see that Coko never really wanted to lead as much and that the producers wanted her voice and kept making her come in to do background dub overs. When they were making the last album she wanted to allow Taj and lelee do most of the leads but the label or management wouldn't allow it. So as much as Taj and them say coko was a diva I think that was here acting out because she didn't want to work as much as they made her.
