Mars the second smallest planet in the Solar system, still if it were to become our moon it would show it's bad side, but there would come nice possibilities with Mars being so close to Earth.

    (some guy) Lets make Mars our moon! 1.Mars to Earth moon operation was executed. 2.Blow a giant Atomic bomb in space near Mars seting it motion towards Earth. 3.Mars is moving towards Earth 4.Mars is closing in to Earth, It is now visible as a red dot on the night sky from Earth. 5.Mars is gaining speed towards Earth. Earths movements have been affected. 6.Mars hit the original Earth moon. Meanwhile half of Earths population have been wiped out due to global catastrophy caused by Marses gravitation. 7.Mars hits Earth destroying itself and half of the planet, also causing it to motion towards Venus. Humanity ended. 8.Earth is moving towards Venus. 9.Earth is closing in to Venus, It is now visible as a giant fire ball on the night sky from Venus. 10.Chuck Norris kicks Earth back on its original orbit.

    Few things wrong... Mars gravity wouldn't wreak havoc no Atomic bomb could move mars without destroying it, however strong. Mars hitting earth would completely melt the entire planet, not half. Earth's orbit would stay the same mostly You can't even see stars or the sun from Venus, so just forget trying to see Earth. Atmosphere too thick.

    i love this moon series, but why our moon always gets ejected ?

  • @iamcleaver6854

    @iamcleaver6854

    7 жыл бұрын

    If mars were to approach earth it would reck havoc on moons orbit due to its gravitational influence. It would definitely be impossible to have them stably orbit so close as 16000 km to each other on such wide orbits. around earth. I can do the calculations if you want, but even without doing calculations it is clear that the gravitational interactions between Moon and Mars will be stronger than between Moon and Earth on their closest approach.

  • @iceberg789

    @iceberg789

    ok, but cant the moon settle at a larger orbit, having center of earth and mars as it's center of orbit ?

  • @iamcleaver6854

    @iamcleaver6854

    7 жыл бұрын

    theoretically yes, but it wouldn't be stable: If, however, mars were to be appear much close to earth so it would make a fair number of rotations for each rotation of the moon than that would be much more stable. The reason I use there word "appear" is because if it were to slowly approach the earth from a distance, it would have to cross the moon's orbit at some point, potentially disturbing it.

    No, it would still have more effect than the great cheese ball. Mars is only twice the _size_ of the Moon, but since gravity is based on mass and not size, it would have to be about 2.94 times farther away (roughly 1.13 million km), since Mars is actually about 8.7 times the Moon's mass.

    another exciting video which assumes that the natural orbit would be almost the same as our current moon, as opposed to placing it in an orbital differential in direct relation to the differential in mass between the moon & mars: it would be further out, but it could work. I apologise in part, as my comments assume an eventual engineering intent & influence by humanity to achieve such a feat, as opposed to a mere 'what if' / 'was wäre wenn' scenario....love the vids, the ideas expressed here are already better than most sci-fi film storylines being churned out. Mostly the difference in mass... The heavier object would fling put the lighter one. Like when you boost bounce a small person on a trampoline vs the bigger person... The smaller person flies farther because more mass is affecting it in relation to the regular size person.

    Very intriguing idea. Tidal forces would, for sure, be much greater. Normal high and low tides would be much larger, but tidal forces on the Earth's interior could increase plate tectonic action and maybe volcanoes, and a side effect of that could be more earthquakes and tsunamis. Seems like the negatives would outweigh the positives of having Mars orbiting the Earth. Just some thoughts from a non-physicist.

    Hmm, interesting. And I once had a dream or a vision or something that I swear I could of saw the moon and mars next to each other during a morning day that on which it didn't even worry me much about it.

    Good. Two things though. The Martian polar ice caps are mostly water (2 km thick). Also energy wise it does not take much more energy to visit Mars than the Moon, only a lot longer in time.

    Centauri A Ice is water h2o dude. The Martian atmosphere is too thin to hold liquid water on the surface. It lost its dynamo dude. It has just enough of a magnetosphere to have some atmosphere but not enough to sustain life or H2O in liquid form.

    Mars’s core would probably heat up too cuz i bet down thorough the crust there is still magma cuz of the gravity force of earth acting on it & vis versa

    I ran a sim. Placing Mars at approx 400,000 km away. Earth's temp by 2028 was up 1.2 degrees Celsius, Mars was up all of 40 degrees Celsius to an average of -19 degrees. The most surprising thing was that the surface pressure on Mars was up by 3.55 hPA. And as expected Earth and Mars were each others orbital parent.
