Great info! I’m currently trying to pivot within my niche. I cover mostly football now but I’d like to do sports games in general with the eventual hope of growing into a variety channel. Theres so many amazing games coming out that I wanna work on. Just gotta get better at recording more content to have more frequent uploads.

This is great knowledge, thank you for sharing your insight. Even though I don't consider myself a beginner anymore, I still remember getting started. It was a tough journey. Of course, things are a lot easier now and I am super grateful that I didn't give up stayed patient all the way through. Consistency, hard work (and a a little bit of Famester) made it possible for me!

I've been wanting to make more consistent videos for a while but was scared because I thought they would just suck and nobody would watch them but now I'm going to start just for fun and what matters is trying and be satisfied with our work and trying new stuff! Just do it guys. If you're consistent and put in effort you'll likely be rewarded. If not at least you had fun and tried something challenging!

I've just started mine! slowly began getting into the rhythm of editing etc and i love it!! hopefully overtime the channel can grow 😊😊

That's how I started 9 years ago I was used my ps4 to edit and record my gameplays but eventually I got a capture card and editing software and it boosted my stats fairly well. But it's still a process and growing as a gaming content creator is challenging but rewarding. You get a small build of community which will eventually grow !

How you been doing this for 9 years and have less than 3K subs but are not worried about it never making much? Not to say you don't enjoy the process but gaming pays about $3 for every 1K views so many will be doing this as a hobby at most and the lucky ones will make about $90 a month with 50K views.....

Awesome video and good tips! Thanks! I happened to start around the beginning of 2024 and it really is a grind. For me what I find helps is consistency and I always try to post everyday around 9:00am-10:00am or sometimes a bit earlier. (EST). I still haven’t had an actual video of mine “blow up” but a couple of my shorts have done quite well. (Although, everyone’s interpretation of a video “blowing up” is different)

Thanks!! I needed the motivation even knowing everything what you said!!! Insecurities mess us most of the time!!! It would be years creating content but here I am without starting!!!

I created a gaming channel end of last year. At first it was a bit scary / intimidating however I wanted to improve my editing skills and have footage of my favorite games available to watch anytime... I ended up enjoying the whole editing side and now trying to make gaming videos in TV show style format with intros and recaps.... not there yet but I am always open for criticism if it will improve my content :)

I’d change one thing. Post 1-3 videos a month so you can actually learn about filming, editing, etc. It can help you from becoming overwhelmed and allow you the time to improve each video by 1% -you won’t feel rushed to get videos out each week. This is my goal because I work full time as a teacher and making multiple videos every week is not practical for me to make better videos

Thank you for your inspiration and information. I'm on the journey on build a gaming channel. Starting with shorts but definitely want to do long form videos.

What got me started was coming across a channel i thought was silly, then remembering the channel about 5 years later seeing how much its changed and how good its gotten when i never even started

All in all if you're passionate about entertaining just do it. It will never hurt to try something you love.

You 100 percent need to put in the work on KZread I started in 2020 and uploaded DAILY I reached 900 uploads and realized something was not right. So I did something I was very scared to do I I SWITCH my channel from LETS PLAYS TO DISSCUSION BASED VIDEOS ON GAMING. And upload weekly mainly I was scared because I felt I was going to be bad and I couldn't learn how to make them worth peoples time. Through trial and error 7 months later I went from a stagnant 300 subs and 10 views a video to 870 subs with over 100 views per video and many reaching into the 1,000s. Now I just wish I would have made the switch earlier. If you are a creator and YOU know something is wrong don't keep doing it I know its hard I was there. Take a leap and make the change YOU think is needed. Sometimes that's all it takes.

These are facts! There are too many people doing let's plays, theres nothing original about that type of content unless it's very uniquely edited and the creator is extremely interesting/exciting to watch. What you did moving to discussion based content allows you to give your unique perspective on games that others might be interested in learning or hearing. Keep up the great work!

Great video, but i disagree with the quantity over quality. KZread favors quality a lot because quality content retains viewers attention more. I also disagree with the quality over quantity advice a lot of people give to. Its like the old saying "work smarter not harder". You should work smarter AND harder. Quality AND quantity. Obviously your not a robot and you cant put out insane quality videos every single day. Over time youll get better at making video ideas, thumbnails, recording, and editing and youll be able to make quality content more efficiently.

You don't need an iPhone to create gaming content bro Use AI tools for enhanced performance for KZread Use that money for cloud gaming (cloud gaming is very very helpful) cloud gaming will provide you PlayStation games on mobile If you keep making passionate videos after one point your channel definitely will grow

I’ve started streaming since I just bought a Xbox and I’ve just been streaming and then exporting the videos to KZread and making shorts to get some people to see my gameplay! I’ve really just wanted to basically document my gameplay and experiences but having people follow along will be cool!

Me and my friend just started ours. The biggest problem for us was seeing the views and getting discouraged but after this and some more recent posts we are lore optimistic!!
