As of this writing, KZread lists 16 videos by Karolina Protsenko 1 month old or less. Amazingly, the AVERAGE AMOUNT OF VIEWERS they have received is 1,134,000. I’m not disputing this (that is for someone else). What I am pointing out is that when I click into KZread on a daily basis and presented with over a hundred videos to choose from, quite often when I scroll down, I’m offered a dozen or more of Karolina’s videos, yet none of Lauren Mascitti or many others who are top of the line performers. This just doesn’t make any sense. Few, if any, listening to Lauren would dispute that she is a high quality singer. Yet in this same time period, her eight videos have averaged only 1500 views, or less than 2% of young Karolina. Paying attention to the videos offered when I click into KZread, it’s obvious to me that the algorhythm allows the site to offer me similar things to what I’ve viewed in the past. That’s quite understandable. However, although I’ve viewed hundreds of performers (unknowns and knowns as well) I don’t believe I’ve viewed Karolina more than a half dozen times, whereas I’ve viewed more than a few hundreds of times each. Yet it’s miss Protsenko of whom I’m overwhelmingly given a choice. Please note that I’m only using Lauren as one example. I can give examples of countless others. If I was being sinister, I’d suggest this is all very deliberately, the reasons for what’s happening, but I’ll not try to overguess.
