If Every President Took the World's Smallest Political Quiz

This quiz is very flawed due to the clear bias towards the Libertarian quadrant. Every question is worded in a way where freedom is the default and the safety tradeoff isn't a question. Worse, the 2nd part of the quiz phrases everything as either accepting violence or supporting anarchist ideology. As a self identified Libertarian this is sad to see and is propaganda at best.

Yes, the second part of the quiz seems to be attempting to shepherd quiz-takers into becoming more libertarian. It explicitly asks if one would like to retake the first part with reconsideration towards libertarian beliefs at its end, at least for the viewpoint I took it as.

Yeah I’m a libertarian too and am trying to be active in various libertarian organizations and I see this quiz be brought up often. I think the quiz is good in concept but it’s too short and very biased. I don’t believe targeting politically ignorant people (I don’t mean ignorant as a bad thing) is a good way to bolster the libertarian movement

Absolutely! It does not consider what we’ve discovered regarding both flaws of individual psychology or sociological conflicts. It avoids principles as basic as the Magna Carta. The proclivity for human greed, desire for power, groupthink…balanced again earth’s finite resources, the interests of greater good for 8+ billion individuals in a world where the drive of “ alpha” personalities still seek to reassert a “pack” aristocratic order. That’s why balanced governance necessitates the majority of its citizens to actively participate in order to counterbalance the forces of societal disintegration. Pure libertarianism shirks these responsibilities and would inevitably lead to anarchy. Until humanity can evolve past selfish and pathological defects, it’s naive and dangerous to ignore the realities of the present human condition.

Fun stuff Mr. Beat! A thought I had was that apart from the quiz being kinda bad, one of the things I think we learned was that the overarching political climate has shifted over time. For example, some of the presidents that were considered conservative in their time would not be considered conservative today if they held on to their exact stance. But many of them would probably change and adapt their stance in accordance with today’s view. Just a thought.

You wondered in your presidential candidate tier list video if Fighting Bob was an inspiration for Ralph Nader. He actually did say in an interview on C-SPAN that he likes him, as well as Eugene Debs. In that interview, he also notes that Robert Taft wasn't really a radical like he's believed to be, and that he was fine with public works, Social Security, aid to education and housing as well as willing to revise the Taft-Hartley Act to make it more balanced and not tilted towards business. Taft was also opposed to the internment camps, by the way, and he didn't want Truman to draft striking workers.

Loved the stream, i didn’t catch the whole thing so im not sure if any of this was mentioned, but I thought I’d share my experience with this site because it is SUPER weird and manipulative. I took the quiz for myself and got back progressive, and then they asked me if I wanted to take this special quiz for progressives to find out if I supported “coercive or human respect” political tactics. Long story short, the questions were heavily pushing in the direction of Libertarianism (a few of the questions basically made physically stealing from someone and taxing the rich sound like the same thing) and unsurprisingly I was told at the end that my views actually aligned with more libertarianism. TLDR don’t take this quiz unless you want to be told that you’re a libertarian because you think stealing is wrong

It's hilarious how bad and inaccurate this test was, ESPECIALLY for the more recent presidents. I used to think the political compass had some issues, but holy cow... It feels like the creator of this test thinks that anyone who's even a *tiny* bit to the left of Ayn Rand or Margaret Thatcher are raging social justice warrior, progressive Marxists. Some presidents who were *objectively* extremely conservative came out as 'moderates' and some who were moderate to *mildly* a tiny progressive came out as extremely left-leaning despite them not being that. Big "omg you're a dictator because you are using government force to prevent people from owning slaves or being able to segregate based on race!" conservative/Dixiecrats vibes. Strom Thurmond or Barry Goldwater had to have created this political compass test, 100% LMAO😆These tests are never really super accurate, but dang this is the most inaccurate one I have ever seen before... at all. The bias of the creator was so laughably obvious, but I enjoyed the stream for the community engagement.

Live your videos but you are wrong on Washington regarding Social Security. His big problem on slavery was if you free slaves and they are older or disabled how do they make a living. What would take the place of the slave owner taking care of disabled and older slaves. The answer could be Social Security so people have a basic income. He probably would be more in favor of a basic income especially to help as former slaves are released. Also your question on consenting adults it is a lot less clear than you think.

Mr. Beat I'm ex Mormon and Brigham young was horrible... Latter day saints Revere him and could be offended by you not liking him but don't be swayed. Very pro slavery and pro polygamy he should not be celebrated. But I think that's super cool you're traveling to salt lake I live outside the city.

Im sorry mr beat you don't know what you're talking about with sex laws. Sodomy laws DID exist in the 1700's and Alexander Hamilton tried to lower the punishment for sodomy from execution to imprisonment
